Yes bro, docker juat came now.docker is container reduces our work. You can still follw your comfortable ways.but world is moving towards the advance architectures or methodology it is better to ise docker. Again it depends upon you project, if it is small project witj less users dont have to follow much

Microservice is an architecture. API is just group of classes put together provides some functionality or you can say using that you can perform some operations. For example Gson an google java api using this you can convert json into object or object to json and many things related json.
