I've always been warned, about buying a house on these mined lands...but alot of homes exist on these old mines. Another great video...tks again...

Thanks for explaining this, there’s a bunch of these behind my house and I always wondered what they were from. I always assumed the the big circular depressions were cellar holes. They don’t show up anywhere on the mine atlas maps either.

Yikes. Get mine subsidence insurance then through the department of environmental protection. Can be bootleg operations from way back when doing that!

Thanks for this. I have a friend who's property was pocked with subsidence where it popped out from the opposite side of the ridge.

I’ve relocated a 3,000’ 20” pipeline for National Fuel in Washington,PA in 2008. It was really hard to believe how much the ground dropped when we came back to tie everything back in, it was around 6-7 foot difference.

Very informative video. It is sad that subsidence and water pollution is a fact of life.

How do you find all these mines?
@cnone37856 ай бұрын
Yeah id have prob had to see what was in that opening at end of veido if I had found it . good to know that the ground under the opening is not stable & is way more unsafe than the normal unsafe openings 1 may find out while wondering round in woods ..

MSI isn't expensive either. Well worth the money if you're in a heavily mined area.

Everything you showed us…………..? Is a gigantic, ancient petrified tree. My 2 part documentary on my channel will shock you, when you suddenly realize where all gold, and all precious metal’s REALLY come from. Enjoy, and subbed to your channel. You teach really well.

There are subsidences in the Barclay Cemetery. That can't be good.
@abandonedminesofpennsylvan2663 жыл бұрын
It is not, eventually the rest of the ground will subside in that area.

They weren't suppose to mine under cemeteries, BUT...they did. They even robbed the pillar supports under them.
