Motion capture, as it pertains to film-making, fascinates me! If I were or become a film director, my ambition would be to make a feature length film in which all of the characters are created using motion capture.

To an extent, you can, but the player would still need to be close to the technology so you can record and capture all his movements.

nice intro video. Where can we find good sources for learning like - setting up how the data is re-targeted into an actual rig?

Have you guys implemented a facial capture pipeline since 2013? It's become a standard in AAA game dev.

how does it go into gaming...I know it can be used for animations but how is it exported into games
@tyronejordan17937 жыл бұрын
The animations are plotted to the skeleton and exported. It's these animated skeletons that are used to drive the motions of the game characters.

Tyrone was the name of an Irish Kingdom of Gaelic Ireland. Tyrone was Irish for Tír Eoghain, meaning "Land of Eoghan" from as far back as the 5th century up until 1607. Whenever blacks get a'hold of a brand name, whites move away from it so I've been told. How accurate that is I am not sure lol.

I don't know if motion capture make you a lazy animator
@tyronejordan17937 жыл бұрын
Motion capture is just a good start. You have to be a solid animator to make the captured motion work. There's nothing worse than captured motion looking...well, like captured motion.
