The fact that half of the comments on this video about what .NET Apire is are still asking at the end of the video what it is say a lot about the usefulness of this product.

Gosh, I kinda miss the old days when you would just fire up VS, start your WinForms/WPF project, build the application in Release mode and then publish it for download.

You can still do this for webapps by publishing Kestrel to a directory. Just ship the directory and users can basically double click to run.

I watched this I still don't know what to use it for? Can I use it with my iOS and Android MAUI apps? Or .net Core API?

I have been working with .net since framework 1.1, and watching this whole video I still can not say what is .net Aspire. reading a simple doc I found out what aspire is. so its the video that is crap

From what I can tell all this does is add more complexity to our apps in an effort to manage the complexity that we continue to add to our software systems in the server based “serverless” cloud era.

Maybe we should go back to monolith binaries, not monolith software, but just DLLs instead of microservices. Instead of IaC (infrastructure as code), you use IoC (inversion of control).

What are the current possibilities of building .NET 8 API deployed on Azure Web App with help of .NET Aspire? Is it possible to "wrap" .NET 8 API in it?

Seems quite insteresting to me, but how do you manage container runtime resources like cpu and memory from Aspire? Is it supposed to handle these as well or did i miss something?

The question "What is XY" should not be answered with "You can do a, b, c , d" with it. This does not help to understand WHAT XY is, especially if "a,b,c,d" are also done by 100 other things. What is .Net Aspire? A Framework? A Plattform? A collection of Libraries?
