Thanks for the memories, my partner of the time and I used to bring our Kids here every year, round about the same time every year, Carnival weekend, mid August, we absolutely loved this place, I took a lot of video footage which I will try to upload later. We used to love the Boating pool pub and the the other bar on the sea front, Renees bar I Think, we spent many hours in them, I remember Renees bar always had live music

Spent many happy days on the sands as a child, with my parents and sister, in the 50s. We lived in Dover, but our beach was pebbly, so we went on the bus to Folkestone. There was an open air swimming pool further along the seafront to the west, where we used to go in the 60s; it was unheated, but usually packed…….. Our great-auntie lived in Folkestone, and sometimes we stayed with her. She used to take us down to the Warren, which we also loved for its wildness. Very happy days.

The old high street you was, According to my sister, two way traffic in the 60s. I haven't lived there for 45 years and I barely recognise anything apart the old high and the shore line/beach/sands/warren.

Love the video, but the music is so distracting. I want to listen to you, but dude, maybe ambient music should have been used.

Council don't bother with the parts of Folkestone, take a walk up Dover Rd or off the tourist route. There is no free parking anywhere near the town. If u can call it a town. Over crowded, no Dr's, no dentist, school placement are pot luck. No hospital, use to be a lovely vibrant place. Shame that's all gone now,

You showed like 2% of Folkestone. You didn’t do The Warren beach or woods which is the no1 best spot world wide. The leas the adventure playground you missed a lot RAF war memorial. The war bunkers the Roman village that gets unearthed every 10 years. What a waiste of time you literally showed my work place an all the other things owned by sir Rodger de han that’s it
