Don't forget Nikon ZF is stealing a lot of Fuji users into the Nikon System. Many Fuji users (me included) has been asking for retro style full frame camera and they absolutely delivered with the ZF. I have sold all my Fuji gears and now happily using the ZF. Nikon is definitely doing something here.

It's funny to watch this video. Your memory probably doesn't extend far enough back, perhaps, to realize that Nikon was the industry leader-and the choice of 35mm professionals-for nearly 35 years. And right up until 2012 they were still the number two camera manufacturer in the world. They have more history and legacy in 35mm photography than any other camera manufacturer on the planet, next to Leica. What you're witnessing is a return to the same sort of moxie they used in the past to build their legacy, being used again today.

@@RobertFalconer1967 yes of course I know Nikon used to be the market leader back in the day this video is about Nikon competing in 2024. You’re talking about photography here my entire video was about hybrid cameras. Everybody makes great photography cameras but that’s not what people want in 2024 they want cameras that can do it all. Nikon was able to step up their videography capabilities tremendously over the past 2-3 years. If they hadn’t done and stuck with photography they would have ended up like Pentax.

I think they are moving in the right direction with the 40/2, the new 1.4 non-S lenses, but they're still not matching the Sony Zeiss glass from a decade ago (tbf, no one else is), which is making me hesitant.

@@whippedcreampicturesthe s5iix is not a Nikon z8 competitor. The z8 is way more powerful with way more features. The thing about that movie you mentioned and people fail to realize that movie had an 80 million budget and the lenses they used cost 5 times more than the fx3 body. It’s not so much the fx3 itself it’s more the lens and the folks behind the monitor color grading and editing. The fx3 was used because of its high second native ISO and portability. Great video! Nikon just demoed the new 28-135mm power zoom, and 180 degree shutter on Z9 at Inter BEE 2024 trade show in Japan last week with development firmware 5.10. I own 5 Sony cameras, but I will be selling all of them and going all in on Nikon. The cameras are not perfect, but offer a lot more than Sony for the price and Nikon is the future of film production. Sony did great for a while, but Nikon's internal RAW is fantastic. Also, you can buy a Z9 and a Z6III and you are covered for all your video and photo needs up to 45MP. With Sony I am forced to have at least 4 cameras. I have FX6 as main camera, then FX3 for 2nd video camera, but the megapixel is too low, so I also have an A7IV and back up A7III for stills. The A7IV shoots cropped 4k 60p and has horrible moire and overheats so it is not suitable for professional video work. The Z9 and Z6III do not overheat even filming RAW. I don't recommend the Z8 for people. I use to own it and it would overheat even filming H265 and would shut down. The Z9 and Z6III are a perfect combination. I'm sure that with 180 degree shutter coming soon to Nikon, they will also have ability for loading user LUTS. And whatever future RED/Nikon Z higher-end camera comes out will destroy all the competition with internal RAW and great autofocus.

@willvazquez32185 күн бұрын
@@adnan_velic I think that the Z9 has prettier and cleaner colors than the FX3. Only thing with Z9 is that if you shoot N-LOG, it doesn't output a LUT over HDMI, so if you have a monitor connected, it needs to have the ability to apply LUTs. I own the Z6III and absolutely am in love with it. I film TV commercials and corporate videos, so I use lighting and the slightly lower dynamic range is not a problem. Unfortunately, Blackmagic will never have usable autofocus unless it makes a deal with Panasonic to use their AF technology. Modern predictable autofocus is too sophisticated for a small company like Blackmagic to ever design or even master on its own. I love their cameras though. @@adnan_velicI own an FX3 also. It’s a great image. But to me, the Nikon Z6III has a more dimensional image. And the color is cleaner and richer. I don’t know how to explain it. But no matter what you do to color correct, the Sony cameras have like a tint to them that’s hard to color correct. It’s better if you shoot external prores raw on a ninja. But then you have to record on an external recorder. The Nikon Z63 looks beautiful right out of camera. No matter what codec you shoot the color is clean and rich and beautiful. Especially if you shoot n-log and color correct later. If you use the special red luts that Nikon came out with recently, it can give it a really nice cinematic look. The FX3 is a great camera, I just think that for the price point today the Nikon Z63 is a better value. It’s only $2300 right now in the states with a $200 off discount because of the holidays. Meanwhile, the FX3 is like $3700. So for $1400 dollars less, you get a great camera in the Z6III. And it does internal RAW and ProRes recording which the FX3 cannot.
