I think it's voltage regulator pard was damage. For testing a Arduino or any 5v output source. And connect 5v and gnd to node MCU vin and gnd pin (remove power cable )

Yes it's possible but it will be complicated coding and circuit. And it will not work fine. Best way to for your project is to use raspberry pi and it's easy to use and it's good for making local server.

Arduino me jb aap program likhte ho to generally sari pins Low means 0 hota h. But Node MCU me apko code me batana padta h ki Pins ki output low (0) hogi. But abhi jo naye board aarhe h usme aapko Arduino wala experience milega pura.
