I love your Oh My Stars quilt! I hit half way through mine using Riley Blake charms “Apple of my Eye” then discovered that my charm packs were on 24 pieces not 40. So I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it! Anyone have any charms for Apple of My Eye , that they’d be willing to part with? I’m heart broken because it was looking so cute!

Dear Pat, I decided on 5” borders, partly because I liked those floating stars. So, yesterday, I did all the calculating and, wouldn’t you know, I used the unfinished block size first. I puzzled it out and had a V8 moment when I realized what I had done. Haha. Love seeing the Strawberry quilt on the wall. Must get mine quilted.

Since the right border is the last, do you still assume two seam allowances for each piece? It doesn’t change the final lengths since you are subtracting then adding back the same amount but I’m confused.

Joann what I told you works. I've been writing patterns a VERY VERY VERY long time. Get some graph paper and do the math. That is how you will see how it works. Like i said, do FINAL SIZES, then add seam allowance last
