wait ask are the buyers and bidders are the sellers ? is it opposite in level 2 order book ? cause i trade off level 2 and time and sales and ive been known that ask are sellers and bids are buyers

There's two kinds of buyers and two kinds of sellers, passive and aggressive. Passive buyers and sellers use limit orders. Those limit orders are shown in Level 2 and 3 price books and order books. Passive buyers create bids. Passive sellers create asks. Aggressive buyers fill asks. Aggressive sellers fill bids. Usually (there are some exceptions) each trade has an aggressive side and a passive side. So without context, "buyers" and "sellers" are ambiguous terms. But most often, in general, those words refer to the aggressive types, the market movers, the ones who actively move the price by filling the limit orders you see in the level 2 and 3 data. GL

FX Spot Market shows the price ticks, not the lots (volume/contract) sizes as volume and these are not split by bid/ask. Will this apply only in FX Futures?

Yes. FX futures data shows volume in contracts traded on the exchange, unlike OTC FX.

Hi there, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, I don't know of any free platforms that offer reliable footprint or order flow charts. In my experience, these types of charts are usually only available through paid charting platforms or brokerages.

Why the sells are green coloured and the bids are red coloured? It should be vice versa, because bids are buyers, which means the price will go up and the contrary for asks. Or? 3:25

The colors match the aggressive side of the trade, the side that moves the price. Bids are red because they are filled by aggressive sellers who will move the price down. Asks are green because aggressive buyers fill asks, and filling asks what moves the price up. Red/green is not universal, red/blue, black/white, are common too. I know others who use different colors.

Orderflow is essentially the same thing as price action but with more details, details that are very useful and can make any PA strategy more precise. It's not a gimmick if pros in the banks, hedge funds, and other institutional trading deals use it heavily. It's a gimmick if you are not open to expanding your skills and knowledge. GL
