Where I grew up we use "ye" instead of "you", for example "did ye gan oot last neet?" although I believe that this pronunciation is less used in the South, being largely restricted to the geographic region of Northumberland.

I learned English in Norfolk, even for a Londoner the accent is incomprehensible. as a native french speaking person, I understand better all the accents in Midland and Norfolk

So British English is as lazy as American English! LOL I'm a francophone from Quebec, Canada. I also teach French as a second language. You should hear what Quebecers do to French! You have to work really, really hard at learning to massacre the language as much as we do! 😂
