Certify just means to verify the authenticity of the key (do you trust that this is the correct key or not), you can do this manually through making sure its the right key through confirming with the other person or through some other means

Seriously though, is somebody gives you there public key, how do I code a message so that they can then read it? I’m fairly intelligent but I have a learning disability. I have to see somthing to learn it, I can catch concepts but half way through nothings clinking

How do I verify a signature with a signed message? I’ve been having so much trouble with that. When I try and decrypt the signed message with pgp signature to verify the signature it says unavailable certificate. Can someone help plz?

one part i'm confused about, so at 20:22 of the video, we have the encrypted PGP message but how does the receipient recieve the PGP message? would it all be automatic through the Kleopatra app once you complete that encryption and sign for it?

You copy paste and send it through email or through a messaging app, even on pen and paper if you want

You encrypt the message, then use that text to send it over, then they do their process to decrypt

Sure you can always start with new keys but You must have the keys saved in some form if you want to decrypt files you encrypted using your original private key
