Hello Terry (and everyone here). Thanks for this video, the PinUP System looks fantastic ! however, I don't have real pincab, but my regular PC (using single screen - 1920x1080) for current usage (desktop tasks, software developments, internet, computer music, and gaming including a 4-years old homemade HyperSpin for arcade using mouse/keyboard only). I've tried PinUP Player + PinUP Popper (in order to launch Visual Pinball X tables), unfortunalely the wheel (and texts) are rotated, displayed at the right side of screen (instead of horizontally/bottom). My question : Is PinUP System can be used on non-pincab PC? Thanks in advance.

Is there a explanation of all the options for the screens and how do you tell what screen is for what i.e. playfield/backglass/dmd. In your video the screens are 16 18 11 12 and 17 wtheck ??

Totally overwhelmed with information overload, here. I just wish someone would put it all together in one complete auto-installer, that updates it's self. I'm legally blind, and could not see any of what you were trying to demonstrate, on a 46" monitor. LOL. I'm sure it's useful for someone, just not me. I don't have the time, or technical ability to go out, and sift through tons of sites, to download god knows what just to get this stuff running. Don't get me wrong, it's very amazing, I just wish the setup, and install process for gathering all those files was fully automated. Thanks for the video. Guess I'll just have to be satisfied with Zaccaria, and Toyshock, for now, and wait for Arcade1up, and AtGames to release thier cabinets. Was hoping to get the cabinet I just built up, and running this month. LOL

I hear ya. I'm quite adept with tech but I've found getting the pinball stuff working is a nightmare. I also wish, not just for myself but the community as a whole, that someone could write a script/program to streamline this to make it accessible for everyone, not just those who have a degree in I.T. Thank you Terry for at least creating the potential to get it working. I'm sure you've done it so many times that it seems easy to you now but I imagine that a lot of people find it hard to get all the steps correct. And then there's Windows, and that's a smoking gun in itself, which randomly chooses to block files downloaded from the internet.

@@MrM3ch if you don't know what you are doing you be better off buying a plug and play pinball machine yes you would pay a lot of money for it . shit i don't know much about software and i know how to get it working .yes it not easy but if you keep at it you will get it working or maybe it not for you . and having one exe install and have everything installed at once i don't think it could happen there to many software's or maybe stick with arcade video gaming it more easier

@@guidosaur7506 It definitely is a lot of work and trial and error. You don't really have to be a techy person to figure it all out but it helps. It just takes a LOT of time and patience.

Hi Terry. Thank you so much for all that you add to the community. I have been following your videos for some time now and you explain everything step by step so beautifully. I just have one error that is driving me insane and I can't figure out how to fix it. I am really hoping you can help me. I have been trying to get the VP Stranger Things table to load correctly but for some reason the text overlay on the backglass keeps crashing when my virtual DMD loads up. I can see the text on the backglass fine, then the DMD Logo comes on and my entire backglass goes black. When the backglass comes back on, the text overlay is missing. Weird thing is if I glitch it.. And load a 2nd table without closing the first one, The text overlay works fine. It's something about the DMD loading that is causing it to crash the overlay. I have followed your guide to the letter and this is still happening to me. I deleted the entire folder and reinstalled everything and it is still happening. This could be a problem with other PinUp tables but I haven't even gotten this first one working correctly yet to test others. Any guidance you can provide would be a HUGE help.

Thank you for your help. 1 question When using a table xith vpx 10.8, pinupmenu.exe do not want to open again .. even if I go manually to open it....Any solution to help me please? So I have to play my table vpx 10.8 without the fun and beautiful menu pinupmenu ...it doesn't open again anymore... (When I restart computer all is ok .. my menu is working fine with all vpx10.7 tables.... Thank you very much Antoine

How do you set up your backglass layout at 14:10? I only have one monitor and while I can resize and position the backglass using B2S_Setup, it's always covered underneath the playfield once I start visualpinball. I just can't make it stay on top ...

May be a stupid question but ... One monitor for the table, and a second for the back and DMD or a second for the back and third one for the DMD ?

Always best to have at least 3 monitors. Unless you are using a vertical 16:9 screen for the BG and DMD and Topper,etc..... but you need to know what you are doing for that type of setup.

Hi Terry, really sorry to take your time for this... Question, i have 3 displays, the Playfield (in the middle), The Backglass (to the right), and the "full DMD", to the Left of the Playfield. PinUp Player does not let me put the full dmd or any other screen on the "left screen", i guess is cos i need to use a "negative" positioning. Any workaround?

Nope. you gotta do it the correct way from left to right. Playfield, Backglass, then DMD / Topper. Some programs like FP won't correctly as well if you don't do this, hence why we clearly state you MUST arrange them that way on the pup wiki.

Great work. Your videos has got me into this (even though it is tricky and don’t have a clue what I am doing lol) however I follow your video guides and they are flawless. Quick question - I have the Harry Potter table. It mentions no b2s. I cannot find the b2s anywhere. Do I literally drag and drop the pup pack with all the videos and sound to the pup videos folder?

Correct. HP is pup based so you need to use the pup-pack.

How do you pause a table when it's launched via Popper? I went to Controller Setup in the Popper Setup program; I set a keyboard key (I play on a laptop, single screen) 'p' for Game Info/Flyer. When I'm playing a table, pressing 'p' does nothing and pressing Esc, exits me back out to the popper menu. I have tried enabling and disabling the "Disable ESC key" option in VPX's Configure Keys menu. Also note that I am already using an "In Game Script" to reset videos. TIA

I saw in the FB Pinup group that removing "-minimized" from the launch script could work. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. @@TerryRed sounds like a lot of work, im still trying to setup everything properly, in some pup packs i cant set my dmd on top of the backglass, like in Twister table, it looks ok, im using freezie, but as soon as the backglass shows some video about what's appening in the pinball...the dmd goes to 2nd plane and never goes back... Any tips? I have only 2 monitor setup

@@hardware4all Many pup-packs were not designed for a 2 screen...so it may not be possible to get the DMD to appear over the pup-pack. Tron being one of them. If you have a 16:9 Backglass...this will always be a problem. If you have a 4:3 or 5:4 square backglass...then you "can" make it owrk with a custom pinupplayer.ini setup to have the pup BG be 16:9 ratio, and that leaves space below the pup BG for your DMD.

I brought a pre-built pinball just wondering on pup packs some etc T2 and transformers videos keep going pixeled but then others lethel weapon 3 run fine.. Advice is this due to cpu or gpu b4 i update gpu or cpu or both 🙄 its a dual cou 3.10ghz and a radeon rx 550 much appreciated.. Running two monitors

Its one 27 inch monitor on the top for BG...and a 19 inch TV for the 2 smaller middle screens (uses a split bezel)

Hi, I recently purchased a cabinet with 3 screens (4k playfield, PinDMD 3 Color, and a backglass) and run Pinup Player. I just retired and discovered this hobby a couple weeks ago. My cabinet came with several VP9, VPX and Future tables installed. I have been scanning for all info. I can find by surfing the web and watching KZbin videos 12 to 15 hours a day for the last 4 days. When I discoverd that you can run videos on the backglass I had to try it but am having an issue that is probably a quick fix for someone in the know but 20 hours later and I still can't figure it out. I created pup packs and have Jaws and Stranger Things running with the videos working well but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the score to show in the DMD. It is blank and there is no score to be found until the end of the game. So if anyone reading this can help it would be appreciated, Terry, you seem like a nice guy ;) I have also done something to my Kiss Table in that sound only comes from hitting bumpers , nothing from the lanes or spinners. Have another question about pinupplayer with 2 screens. When testing xmen le. Pinupplayer videos plays great but I have no dmd. Dmd disappears and never comes back. Is there a function to keep it on backglass?

PuP has no control over the DMD. If you are using a 16:9 ratio monitor for your backglass, you may have problems having both a separate DMD window and a pup-pack occupy the same screen space. If you have a more "square" backglass screen, then you can setup the pup BG to display in its correct 16:9 aspect ratio on the top portion of the monitor, leaving the bottom portion for your DMD window.

Most likely not...as it's not designed to work with that. That said you could always try my "PuP-Packs on Top" and run VPX in Windowed Fullscreen to see if it works. You can see a video about it in my channel.
