I layed methylnethacrylate which is acrylic floors for years a stinking resin mixed with quartz stone and hardened with bpo peroxide powder which hardens the resin very quickly when mixed .

That's really interesting. If I may ask what are some of the challenges that are faced when drilling PMMA and what defects do the drilled holes tend to have

So, drilling through PMMA can be tricky because it's a little bit brittle. If you try and drill too fast then it can crack. However, if you drill too slowly then it will also generate heat and it will melt the bit to the plastic or cause localized melting which is also not a nice defect.
