Polymarket has a solid vote resolution mechanism, appears pretty robust

It's good. But not safe, since it's decentralized, results are determined by votes of the largest stake holders. There are cases where the false result is voted as the winner. In this case say you bought Trump shares, but the final result was a Harris win on Polymarket. You will end up losing everything even though your prediction was correct.

Literally negligible. Even though so much volume in Polymarket yet Matic made only around 27k out of transaction fees. Also the currency accepted in Polymarket is usdc not Matic.
