Dr. Shyam Bihari Bansal is presently working as a Director, Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, at Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon.
He has received many awards and grants including Best Oral Presentation ISNCON 2005, fellowship of Indian Society of Nephrology, Fellowship of American society of Nephrology and Fellowship of Royal college of Physician (FRCP, London).
Dr. Bansal has vast experience of treatment of all types of kidney diseases including Proteinuria, Nephrotic syndrome, Chronic Kidney Diseases, Acute Kidney injury, Glomerulonephritis, Dialysis and Kidney Transplant.
Dr. Bansal has been the organizing secretary of national conference of Indian Society of Nephrology twice in 2013 and 2017. He also holds the post of secretary of Delhi Nephrology Society and also an executive member of Indian society of Nephrology. He has published extensively in the field of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant.

It is articulated that Urologist (famous Professor)states that I cannot cure anymore as the KFT and kidney, urine and blood reports are ok. dear sir my age is 31 from past 1.5 years i was having burning sensation in hip area and in feet with dizziness rarely vertigo sometimes and sleep issues i consulted many doctors like ortho neuro physiotherapist and ent i took their tab but it didn't help later all was prescribing me tca antidepressants but it was giving me side effects instead of benefits then i consulted psychiatrist in AIIMS and they told me I have somatic disorders so they gave me setraline 50 mg i took for one month and got some relief in sleep only with clonazopem. recently i developed and pain in left kidney and got blood in urine 30-35 hpf and i told psychiatrist that are these tablet causing this they sad no there might be chance of kidney stones so i visited medicine doctor in AIIMS they tell me to do 24 hour urine test urine culture in 24 hour urine test protein was 410mg and nothing in urine culture there was oxalate ocational and protein plus and then traces recent urine shoes WBC 10-15 i also did usg lower abdomen which shows multiple calicus in upper mid and lower pole with max size 8.3mm my i am tracking my from 2017 to till ny by conducting full body package test every year or two and i m prediabtic also with hb1ac of 6.2 from 2017 it was 5.7 and now 6.2 also my creatinine was 0.95 to 1.16 now 2017-2022. previously I had complex cyst with calcification in 2018 till 2021 but recently my left kidney forming stone are ssri setraline causing this please advice me something's thanks for reading a long question

Hi Sir; My father have BP issue after covid vaccination a year before, in January 2022 have stent, but his BP still not in control, a week before doctors advised to have 24 hour urine test and found the following; Protein (24 Hrs Urine) = 1.61/G Protein (Spot Urine) = 651 mg/dl Creatinine (Spot Urine)= 281 mg/dl Protein / Creatinine Ratio (Spot Urine)= 2.32 Now my father has swellings on the eyes, abdominal and stretch legs from 1 month, as well his BP is not stable and varies from 100/60 to 195/95 during day. My father is non-diabetic. Now nephrologist advised further autoimmune profile tests. Could you advised that these tests are relevant or my father should advise to visit another doctor? Sir, my eGFR is 24, urine creatinine was 3.85 but now come down to 2.52, creatinine spot urine is 67.77 and spot urine protein is 44.2. Routine urine exam shows + blood and 5-6 RBCs HPF. Protein in urine is + ( 25 mg/dl ).What is the prognosis and what should I do? I am consulting nephrologists but would like your opinion. Thanks

it depends on what is cause of your kidney disease, how good is your BP control and how your disease is behaving. there is wide variation in longetivity of kidney depending on these factors.
