What is Real Estate Escrow?

What is escrow when buying a house? What is an escrow account? Escrow in real estate has a lot of power. This determines how much money is in your client's biggest investment: their home.

It's a common term for new real estate agents and anyone who's entering the home transaction process.
In real estate, the escrow process is where important assets, such as money, are kept safe by a third party. This third party is called an escrow company, and they have the responsibility of overseeing the assets.

Using an escrow company is the industry standard for transferring fund from homebuyer to seller. They remain neutral and there is a record of all money transfers so they can't take anything away from you. It's safe and used nationwide. Hope this helps!

My mortgage just went up from 671 to 1113. Basically it doubled, WOULD it be a good idea to put some money in escrow to lower the montly payment for NEXT month???
