how often do you have release planning if you release quarterly?
@AishaTech65511 ай бұрын
I will have it biweekly until close to the last month of the release. Then change it to weekly, if needed daily if we have blockers or potential issues with the release

What is the difference between release and sprint review?
@TriciaTheStoryteller Жыл бұрын
Hi Aisha, I have another question please. How often will it be recommended to plan releases? Will this be after each release? For instance, as you mentioned in this video, releases could be made after each sprint or after multiple sprints depending on what the team and stakeholders agree upon. So, let's say a team agrees to release weekly, could this change? Would there be another release planning after a release has been done, a valuable increment delivered to the customer, and the product backlog repriortised?

Best practice in agile is for teams to release frequently, thus shorten the feedback loop. If you part of a Scrum team that release weekly, their should be release processes in place, you do not have to wait for release planning meetings to discuss release. Everything you do in a sprint is working towards delivering(Release) value to our end users. I ones worked for a company that release frequently, what i did was to go over release after each daily scrum meetings. This helped us track all release and meet demands.

@@AishaTech655 Thanks Aisha for your prompt answer but I think you misunderstood my question. The question was not if you have to wait for release planning sessions to discuss releases but how it works after a time frame has been agreed upon to release and then an increment delivered. What happens after then before the next discussion for another release . That was what I was trying to understand but thinking about it again and from your explanation now, if you mean release processes that might fall within the time frame, say weekly, then it is understandable. Could you then dissect these release processes in a different topic? I understand that the question might just be a bit unclear. But thank you for your response. Much appreciated.
