Bhai tune bola sahi hai video me bas short sell ki image mein *buy at high sell at low* hona chahiye tha....In case of sell at high (i.e. short sell), we try to over-supply shares to reduce the price... Whereas in case of buy at low, we try to over demand them to increase the price... Two different market forces of micro economics

Guys, I have cracked it. Lets take a simple example: 1.) Suppose there are 3 friends... Rancho, Farhan and Raju. 2.) Raju has a phone for Rs. 10,000. 3.) Rancho goes to Farhan and tells him, "Hey Farhan, 10,000 mein phone chaiye kya?" 4.) Farhan says, "Haan bhai. Paise le aur phone de." 5.) Rancho goes to Raju and says, "Bhai phone de na thode der keliye box wox ke sath. Kal laake deta hun." 6.) Raju gives the phone to Rancho and Rancho goes and sells the phone to Farhan for 10,000. 10k in Rancho's account and phone is with Farhan. 7.) Before the day ends, Rancho goes back to Farhan and says, "Yaar iska price ab girne wala hai bohot." 8.) Farhan says, "Kya baat karra hai yaar? Aur girega? Abhi toh lia tha." 9.) Rancho says, "Bhai 0 ho jayega is weekend tak. Ek kaam kar, merko abhi hi bech de Rs. 8000 mein." 10.) Farhan gives Rancho the phone and Rancho pays him only Rs. 8000. 11.) But Rancho initially had got 10,000 for it. Hence, Rs. 2000 is still in his account and the phone is with him as well. 12.) Rancho now goes to Raju and gives him back his phone. "Thanks yaar Raju. Achha phone hai. Rakh le tu hi." In short, this happens with shares as well. You take someone else's shares and sell it someone at a higher price and then once its price falls, you buy it back from whom you sold it to and give back the shares to the original custodian, thereby earning a small profit margin in the midst. Hope this made it clear. I hope I am right here as per my understanding. :)

Say I'm selling a stock for 50rs Then I buy it again at 40rs So I should make a profit of 10rs But when I'm doing the sell I'm paying some margin say 20rs... Then again when I Buy do I have to pay full amount say 40rs ?.. How do I get the profit? I'm not understanding the price

If I am buy TATA motor share CNC at Rs.75.20 in Zerodha account and next day zerodha not allowed to sale share in CNC so I sale same share in MIS at Rs.76.20 but after some period of time again It will automatically buy same share with same quantity at Rs.76 that's we call short sale right and second question can I keep the same share for delivery (long term) purpose because it's auto buy in MIS option or again I need to sale it same share in MIS and again buy in CNC options.?

I think there's a mistake in the video in the beginning... It says we buy at high price and sell at low price. This is what short selling is. But if this is the case then profit is not possible. And then later in video the explanation is correct. Do let me know if I am wrong here! Thanks.

+Akshi Bhargava Short selling means buy high and sell low and the difference would be your profit. For e.g, Lets assume that you borrowed a seal packed bisleri bottle worth Rs. 20 from your friend. Now you sell the bisleri bottle to someone for Rs. 20 and buy a bisleri bottle from a shop where you are getting it for just Rs. 15. Now you return this bisleri bottle to your friend. This way you made a profit of Rs.5

Shares buy karne ke 2 din (t+2) baad aapke demat par deliver hota hai. Toh 4-5 din tak aap rakhiye. IOC = instant or cancel hota hai. Ye order place karne ka ek tareeka hai. IOC mein aapka order turant buy/sell hoga ya cancel ho jaega. Day ka matlab 03:30 PM tak order place hi hua rahega, jab tak ki execute nahi ho jata.
