Salam every body , this is very similar to choucroute in Switzerland or sauerkraut in Germany. They have it traditionally in winter accompanied with beer or white wine

Why did the Czech republic split into Slovenia and Chekia ? Are you guys still friends ? Do you speak the same language ? Whah appem ? When I used to hang out with friends in a place called Praha. Valkopopovitch was one of favorite mineral waters. :p

Wrong countries. Czehoslovakia split into Czech republic (Chekia) and Slovakia. Their languages are very similar but separate.

SLOVAKIA and Czechia are not the same state as SLOVENIA. Slovenia is bordering with Italy. Check the map!

I had a Slovenian dish in a restaurant in Praha called Knedliki in 1987 , but honestly, I didn’t like it, maybe because it wasn’t homemade. But I loved the carrot and vermicelli soupe, made by my then girlfriend. Kiss the baby for me.

It must have been some kind of gnocchi dish, but the name is not Slovenian, we call them cmoki / njoki / knedlji / knedli. Knedliky is a czech name and they have many dishes with them as well, or perhaps it was a Slovakian dish? Anyhow they are eaten in various forms in a lot of countries.
