I am still supposed to be on a video and stream break because I haven't been feeling mentally and emotionally great, but for any videos that pops up in this week and after, it'll just be me slowly trying to bring myself on track. I'll explain at some point what's been going on in my life, till then, hope I can continue to produce quality content for you guys

Kukki, as a new player that start arknight about a month ago i thank you for all of your guide including the beginner one and stages guide. it really help me a lot, and also your explanation is top notch for me personally. One thing to add is that Event Stores from Lingering Echoes and onwards will have a module materials from tier 1 to 3 available for everyone to buy with event currencies. So if you really don't want to farm SSS until the better version comes, then you have to rely on event stores to have modules materials. Then again as stated, farming floor 1-5 then proceed to reset is recommended. There's also first clear mission rewards that will come once the mode comes live and it gives you a lot of module materials. So good luck to Doctors who wants to play this mode for their waifus or for meta!

As someone who basically over-relies on Ling to clear harder stages, that extra little dragon from module level 3 sounds very...Enticing. SSS sounds like a nightmare though, to someone like me who hasn't really touched IS yet.

Extra dragon is only on Lv2, Lv3 gives you extra stat for the dragons

@@St33ldancer I have only finished IS once, and it was using Ling with first module. I also had Horn and Surtr in the squad when I reached the end, but it wouldn’t have been possible without Ling s3 dragons. Even s2 dragons are great when I had the binding-damage modifiers.

I honestly wish there was more guides on *stage breakdown or what you need to do* than 'just do XYZ here, skill there'. Like you breakdown what are the biggest threat, how you deal with them, and what ops you need.

I think the easiest way to clear these stages is to find the best operators on your account that you can roid up, and try to get at least one of them going in your runs. Operators like Gnosis, Goldenglow, and Irene are some examples of operators that scale really hard with buffs. The first two with aspd buffs, and Irene with sp generation/dmg. There are other operators who work great too, I just can't remember them off the top of my head.

Just want to correct a little thing at 11:17 Now In CN, SSS only refreshes once a month instead of once every 15 days, and can be cleared with 1 and a half runs provided you're doing Hard Mode

@@ebn1412 I mean yeah kinda. There's no real "global" version; there's a Japanese, a Korean and a Taiwanese version, and then there's an English version with the official timezone of UTC-0700, which is NA.

For me this just would end up like IS where fun at first,then slowly killing you mentally to the point you take a long break from the game mode but not like IS, you have 15 days to clear and get your mats farm just like old anni without skip ticket.

The problem with IS is that there was few incentive to do after you collect your monthly reward (Unless you are one of those people that want to collect all of the medal). Give me more incentive to play the stage. Like more progression buff, not only the first 5 lvl of upgrade, more mode, more wacky collectibles not just stat altering. Or like the first time you reach the final stage of the day and you would receive a small price like a couple LMD, XP Pot,or upgrade material, it doesn't have to be significant just gives player incentive to interact with the mode daily.

The big difference between IS2 and SSS is the chore part of it. With IS2, it doesn't matter when and how you play it. The rewards are not going anywhere. The only thing you miss out that are never going to come back are the monthly squad rewards. Which aren't significant. With SSS the problem is that you are essentially forced to play it every 2 weeks. Unlike IS2 which just adds more rewards to the reward pool every month.

@@Zwiebel4 thats why IS2 is so good for newer and returning player. Especially someone that stopped playing if I remember the day when eyja's first banner were coming out, so its like years ago and started to playing again 3 months ago. The amount of stuff you get from IS2 is staggering for new player. You can easily E2 at least 2 *6 with the resource only from IS2. They really to do something more with IS, cause a lot of new player probably had a sweet spot for this mode.

You can do stupid shit you will never do in normal mode, it doesn't lock any progress behind it, it gives a crap ton of free resource for new and returning player with 0 sanity cost. They just need to update it more, since it become stale quickly with no new reward or content. And people that hate it can just ignore it. I am just saying that there is an audience for this mode.

That global slow debuff for mostima is pretty huge. Slower enemy means more dps, and lower timing timing requirement in some stages. This hopefully makes her more viable. Since she is currently sitting at lvl 1 on my account because the huge DP cost for splash caster is making me hesitate to build splash caster. and Eyja fills splash caster role better than most splash caster.

Iirc mostima full pot + module 3 slows enemy by 90% inside her skill 3. Combine that with knockback and its like rooting the enemy instead of slow

11:18 Actually, another benefit of that update to SSS is that they change it so rather than getting 30 tier 2 and 12 tier 3 materials every 15 days, you get 60 tier 2 and 24 tier 3 materials every month. They essentially made it a secondary IS for those of us who mainly just play IS2/3 for the monthly-updating rewards.

i don't mind the game mode itself, especially since we're gonna get the ease update later on anyway. I feel this will only be a legitimate objective issue if content like CC gets so difficult that it's *MANDATORY* to have Module levels before you can even hope to clear it... which I doubt will happen.

I dont know i found It fun and a bit less random than is,also its hard but not so hard if you use your op power spikes properly,i did 8/8 in a couple of hours,maybe my usual positional playstile fits well with the mode. Also be careful with auto retreat abilities cause retreat takes away all the buffs.

Here's the thing. I actually go insane when trying to clear stage 4 and 7 (Still stuck on stage 7 btw). CC on the other hand is pretty simple because you don't have to use the same squad every time you play it also the enemy didn't get buff for every what? 5 seconds? The longer you stay on one level the stronger your enemy becomes. Now that is a pain in the arse...

The only thing that really upsets me is the no auto deploy thing, as I don't have a lot of time to play daily, I'm trying to make my gameplay as efficient as I can, and even with that, I usually have to choose what new content I want to clear each day, but having to redo every SSS after reset... What a pain

For me this mode was, surprisingly, not so bad. My strategy was to bring a lot of low star, cheap DP cost units and a few core 6 star units. Yes, this is definitely a mode for developed accounts. Good luck everyone.

Although it is a mode for developed accounts, that's only when they’re trying to do all 8 stages. Literally everyone should be able to re-run the first few stages until they reach the limit before the reset.

arknights stages is always beatable /w 1 e2 six-star and low end squad. **flashback to stultifera navis** damn. maybe S-stages can be an exception but still. module is not really that important, unless you wanna see your operators at **PEAK PERFORMANCE** then go for it. wish everyone goodluck on your ebenrolz

If you want, you can just get the rewards from event shops, too. Every 2-3 events will give you enough rewards to max out a module.

To further add more, SSS reset monthly now in CN instead of every 15 days. So you'll have more time leeway in clearing it.

I'm one of the, like, 12 people who is actually excited for this game mode. Maybe it's the Darkest Dungeon fan in me speaking, but I love this kind of challenge. Will be looking forward to playing it every couple weeks.

first clear rewards aside, I suppose we can keep rerunning SSS stage 1 or 2, once or twice daily. I'm treating this as like a daily routine kinda thing. Time gating is fine imo, cause I play other games like jp fgo, and some of the stats improvement, unlocking new skills etc, also require time-gated items. eg - there's this stat improvement item that is a weekly login reward and to max out one character's stats one would need like 125 of that item... which is essentially 125 weeks of pure logging in everyday.

The modules looking like they can be upgraded and finally being upgrade-able is a nice relief on my sanity. I've been looking forward to being able to make some of my favs stronger and in some cases more broken. Example: Specter Unchained. Read a lot of: "she's not that great, not a big deal if you don't get her. Oh, but if you do get her, her module upgrades make her good." Well... they're here now.

I don't see the issue with module blocks, because it can be claimed in dailies and weekly missions. If you like Arknights, you will complete those with ease. With time flow, 1 per day and 1 per week you will get ~34 module blocks within month. Furthermore they slowly stacking from the beginning, where you can't really spend module blocks. Other module materials can be obtained through events. And I'm not touching SSS until I'll have maxed out more ops. Peace.

I highly agree with that "build who you want to build". I only unlock modules and level them for those who I adored the most e.g. Mountain and Rosa or has game changing upgrade like Mostima and Ling or greater upgrade like Passenger and Spelter. This is not a must, and this consideration really helped me to calm myself down and reduce my list greatly.

I actually really like the idea of SSS so I was excited when I first learned about it, but I think the execution could have been better. The farthest I've gotten so far is floor 4, where the red defense crushers just, well, crush me.

I don't even have a lot modules. I don't think this will change much for me on the long run. Heck I even take my sweet time to M3 some skills and modules are a much lower priority then that. I much rather spend my materials to E2 more characters. Pretty much decided I won't bother really with modules until I E2 every operator I have and I still have 10 left to promote.

So now, there's a new game mode for us to improve our operators' modules... ... but there is STILL no sorting option for operators with module on the selection screen. As always, Hypergryph is very very slow with their UI improvements (but hey, at least now there's an option to sort ops by paradox simulation, maybe if we wait another year........)

So they drop CC (maybe there will be a replacement, but who knows how good that is going to be), a beloved gamemode because of all the skill expression and creativity that can be used, they add skip tickets to Annihilation because it takes way too long to run (even stable) autodeploys, but now they introduce a gamemode (without testing) that is timegating, non autodeploy and RNG (instead of the planned nature of CC), for some reason... This seems like a really weird decision for me.

I have been playing it until new SSS on CN makes it more fun to play, I have many methods on using many different operators and buffs to try out. Even I’m done with rewards I’d still enjoy playing it with less time than roguelike that take me hours.

@@Aurileas at least they got a different map for you to choose, of course they don't have much levels like IS cuz it would be a boring af. I admit the first SSS is not good but as I said the CN update is fun, I didn't say it's better than IS, sometimes I still playing it but since I don't have much time to play, SSS is what I'm enjoy. It's like a card game with TD mechanics. Good for you if you like IS but what you said earlier was like "why did you like this sh*t?) people have reason to like things.

As a day 1 casual player. If I find SSS to be boring or annoying to clear/play, I will probably just skip it. You could still clear event/story/risk18 stage without module. I would probably just view these lvl2/3 module similar to FGO holy grail.

when i played it the first time i was really excited becausei thought "oh that looks really funny, wonder what i can do with it", after that i got my ass completely busted open and thought "fuuuuuuucckiiiiiinnggggg heeeeeelll, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEESE MOBS???" so its really nice to hear others suffering too

Kukki. Need your help to suggest increasing the weekly orrundum limit. I know that might not be effective, but seriously now we are getting limited operators every couple months as opposed to the twice a year that it was before. We are barely able to save for 100 pulls before the next limited comes. I think there shd be a community wide request.

That’s called making the game free to play and not allowing the company to earn. Feed some money if you’re that concerned about not having enough pulls.

@@kukkikaze I have been playing for two years and been on the monthly card since the beginning. I also made some occasional purchases here and there so I am not asking for a free game. I think that's taking my point way out of context even though I mentioned my reasoning. To clarify further, the reason me and many people started playing arknights is the fairness of the marketing model. You could play free to play and still progress at a reasonable speed. Now tho, with all the new upgrades that you need to work on then having more limited operators added per year, I really believe the game needs a revamp regarding the limited currency. It's similar how they increased the amount given by stamina packs since we will have to play more to be able to keep upgrading the new modules. I am not asking for the game to be free but as the game is aging, the old limit of 1800 Orundum per week is severely short. I remember I could casually save 100K Orundum easily between limited operators while now I can barely reach 60k and that's by ignoring all the banners in-between. Also I am not asking for 5000 per week. A 20-30% increase would ease things up quite a bit. We are getting double the amount of limited operators per year now so I don't think 20-30% extra is too much to ask for. I really believe the game will remain healthier and more welcoming to new players that way.

It's still wacky how many upcoming permanent modes there are. We still have Trials of Navigator and Reclamation Algorithm in the future, and we never did get a second Interlocking Competition or Multivariate Cooperation yet

Mostima's or Ling's module is probably what i'm going to go for first. They are my top favorites and I don't have the time to constantly grind when I still need to do the story.

ASSS, I think this is really the true end game for us high-end arknights players. The module upgrade can literally make some of your operators broken. Still struggling to get past stage 6. Enemies are tanky af, my Chalter/Goldenglow with 160 apsd is still having trouble lol

I thought I had more fun in SSS than the roguelike mode. Different set of skills it feels like.

So, main problems with this mode, according to this video, is: 1.) Players that have no need in this stages can't enter; 2.) You need to play the game; 3.) Rewards are not given for free; 4.) You can't just whale through with your max-out squad; 5.) Rewards are not given instantly on release. But 4 real, yeah, that mode is hard. But this is endgame content, it's supposed to be hard. And you need to work to get something out of it. It's not a farming stages. It's an extreme content for those of us who wants to min-max their ops. Completely optional. I'm lvl 117 currently, got a lot of modules to upgrade. And I like this mode so much because it's a challenge. Not a challenge of sheer luck, like IS, but actually challenge of your strategic thinking. Ability to retry failed stage is huge. For those of you who struggle with this mode: bring GG S2 or Passenger S3 and a lot of cheap snipers. It works great.

So far ive been enjoying it a bit. Like ive been going with a vanguard irene build as my ground dps and thats been decent. Tho im still wondering what range dps i should go with since i like using ebenholz but i still gotta learn how to use him more or i could go with firewatch or istina just since i like them and i want to try and main them. Also was thinking about how good specalter would be with as a 2nd lane holder and build her with high atk. Also for the module upgrades i went for specter and wildmane first but with what i have left for now if i should upgrade istinas or firewatch module first?

Adding salt in injury, there's time that Module Better off to not Invest *AT ALL* The module only good when they're either : - Have Drama like Mostima, Dusk, And Passenger, Leizi cases - Favoritism / Golden child like Ling, Abyssal hunter gang, Ect. - the OPS itself already great right from the start Such as Saria & Bagpipe. Otherwise, the module can be good In super rare situation like Eunectes but mostly medicore At best, so bad that basically gave you a middle finger if your waifu / husbando get hot garbage module Idk but Balancing still sucks until now, and i'm still pissed of the different between Snowsant with Gladdia module and Mizuki with Specter Alter that have different between day and night.

I could use the new game play even though i may hate it, need something to forget my 200ish losing streak in IS Also i think that people are over reacting a bit on SSS it's hard it's annoying and you need it but don't stress too much about it

Having tried it out, I really enjoy it! However I hate grinding and the fact that this is a sort of grind means I'm probably not going to play it often or enjoy it in the long run. If this was a semi-optional thing I can enjoy sometimes like IS I would really like it but as is its not great.

@Behelit guess CN will be pissed if we get something they didn't get. On top of them having to change all the patches made for CN in the 6 months gap between CN and Global on top of that.

I will say if you don't plan to upgrade a lot of modules you are fine. First clears of SSS maps and event stores give enough materials. I'm on CN, and I've never farmed any sss map, and I'm completely satisfied with my module upgrades.

iirc the lvl 2 of a module gives the new effects, like Ling getting another dragon on the field, or mostima globally slowing enemies. The stage 3 is mostly just luxury, giving small stat boosts and boosts to %'s. So I would recommend modules lvl2 and only rarely modules lvl3. that saves you a good amount of ressources. Subjectively speaking modules in general are mostly a luxury. Modules and aspecially lvl3 modules aren't necessary to clear anything in the game.

Is2 dont have auto deploy too btw, and people play it anyway. And you dont need to buy every module (and every stage of it) in the game. Many characters need only stage 1 or 2 module for big improvement. Also there is not that much 6 stars with very good stage 3 modules now (on global).

Having tried the gamemode for myself, it's been rather fun at first but with the way the mobs scale it quickly felt like the only route to victory is roiding out a unit like Goldenglow to carry the stage. Which makes it... pretty monotonous, especially since you need to manually replay it every time to get those module upgrade mats. As for whether upgrading or even getting modules is necessary, of course not. But I do think many people enjoy upgrading their favored characters to the fullest potential, and the modules do make certain characters more fun to use for instance Specter alter's doll turning into an actually potent source of damage.

Honestly my biggest problems are the difficulty of the stages and the fact that the rewards are "reset" so there's some urge to farm or I'll feel like i lose something and can't get it back. Fortunately i don't really care to build all the module, my current plans are Spec alt to make her more usable and Ling to play with 3 big dragons, also Texas alt but it's still a long wait, and perhaps Mudrock when her module available just for waifu reason.

(off topic; for me using sanity on dead week feels more like a chore lmao) After playing it for a while I think SSS is less random than IS but with more RNG. Because I tend to have core OPs and built around it but in IS it's like nearly totally random on every run for me. But thing is the stage/mode I hate the most is annihilation. About the longevity I think this is a wiser choice than adding X level to the doctor level cap.(Yes, that's dumb but some dev have actually done that lmao.) The part I don't like about this mode is how later danger scale so fast and they cap the stack at 5. It's fun to see my Thorn nuking like a truck, Eyja staff became M249 incendiary and so on.

As a day 1 player and having many e2 lvl90 ops, I get yeetus deletus even at stage 6. Is also not even until pass the first 20 enemies and they get yeeted so hard.

I've been trying it out and it's hard, but I like stacking attack speed buffs on my casters in Is and this is just another place where I can do that so I've been having fun with it

Just chill and get lvl 3 for units that you really like or if it makes big difference. I mean for example Specter alter with lvl 3 becomes complete, because without it her second form does nothing. Hellagur's god regen is something i will get at some point for sure.

Ling's summons work as early wave tanking. Kal's monster can be a source of DPS with S3 true damage if you place monster at a safe spot facing the front tile of someone tanking.

@@shadymodnation5781 Sure, but the problem is it takes up a lot of the deployment limit and none of the summons give or receive the class buffs. So they're utterly worthless and dead weight as the fight goes on. Worse, they slow down the progress of getting the buffs by starting me off with nothing. Yeah they're good in the very beginning. But no more effective than a solid guard or defender and they at least leave me behind something to work with.

As a casual level 120, bunch of E2 lvl 60-90 M3 / M6 / M9 operators... I'll just hoard the materials I get until a stage that cannot be cleared without X operator having a level 3 module. The most difficult thing I play is CC risk 18 anyway. No point to mald when I'm already malding playing a different game mode in a different game (fucking NORMAN MALD, iykyk)
