Or why it being less common is an understatement. 5.56 was the main standard in the army at least during the 90’s. Maybe different in Sweden.

The 7.62 round is rather meant for longer ranges and provides a higher force and momentum, which creates a higher recoil, making it more suitable for semi-automatic shooting. When used for automatic shooting, it creates that spray effect while the shooter tries to balance the aiming against the recoil. Also, the recoil tends to move the aiming spot upwards, which needs to be compensated for manually or by using a compensator or perk. 7.62 rifles are also heavier due to the need for more material to counter higher explosion forces. The 5.56 rounds have less recoil and provide better precision during automatic shooting and enable the use of a suppressor and perks that are not related to increasing weapon precision. The 5.56 guns are also lighter and more efficient in terms of focusing force to a small spot, which is more important in close-range combat. I use the Automatgewehr 5 which is perfect for quickly disarming enemies and destroying components especually from non-titan targets which requires more accuracy. The uranium-infused perk or other crowd control mod will make the gun overall more functional for close-range combat.

How does the M16 from the expansion pack compare to the AG5? I think the developers really dropped the ball when it comes to the AG4. 7.62x51 should have a lot more punch than it does in game, especially on armoured targets like the robots we face. And don’t get me started on the weirdness of the 50BMG, 270 Win, and 243 Win rifles in this game!

AG5 is definitely the best gun but the ammo is rare unless you go out of your way to farm it. The AG4's ability to attach scopes makes it a good mid range weapon. The AI-76 is a great CQB weapon as close range is where the recoil affects your aim the least.

Been playing for about 3 months and only recently dropped Gold AG5 and it was just decimating. In saying that it’s my only gold AR that I have so hard to gauge for me but it’s now my go to.

I wonder if they rebalanced the guns or something because I found the AG5 to be super accurate but lacked the punch of both the ag4 and AK. One thing the burst fire on the AK is AMAZING against is the runners. Maybe only with the amor peircing rounds but on burst fire you'll knock the amore plate right off and burst the fuel cell in one burst, every single time.

Yeah I'm right there with you, I don't like the AG5 either, it's easier to use but if you can control your recoil the AI76 puts more damage down, and ammo seems to be a lot more common for 7.62 as well. And I like the fact I can have two experimentals that use the same ammo plus the Kotenok and AI76, I find it more effective to recycle all 5.56 so I can make more 7.62.

the AG4 is actually based off the German G3 rifle. Heckler and Koch actually made it and used it as the basis for the PSG1 semi-automatic sniper rifle. The Spanish also made a version called the CETME. civie versions exist as the HK91, CETME, and PTR91.

Well I can’t find a AG-5 five crown so I use my AG-4 or my AI-76 (which I have over 6 thousand rounds for) so I’ve been stockpiling all the ammo for the AG-5 so I’ve got a like 2000 rounds for it

Lol I have found several AG 4 and 5’s but have yet to come across an AI-76. Going to listen while I play but as of now, I find that the AG-4 shakes waaaay more than the HP5. Different class of gun/different ammo but still. Want to try the AG4 with red dot. EDiT: sounds like the AG4 and the M-16A2 are very close of both can fit the M203 grenade launcher.

Man that montage at 3000x speed very nice. I love not seeing whats going on. Im guessing killing robots but cmon brother slow them down a tad, it will make them much more enjoyable with the retrowave music. Other than than nice video and thanks for the data imput. I hope they bring a lot more foreign weapons as well as more enemies. It would be nice also to see a LMG or 2...with all those military bunkers and weapons, can't figure out why its not implemented in the game yet. As a former Canadian Infantry soldier. I can tell you the Carl Gustav is a literral blast to fire. It snaps the clothes on your skin because when the missile is fired, it suck all the surrounding air. Its a rocket assisted projectile, the barrel is rifled as well. Its what we call a recoiless rifle. When you fire it, its a fraction of a second before its at full speed and breaking sound barrier. If you don''t open your mouth, the negative pressure could cause internal damage lungs mostly, but also it will drain all of your nose/stomach etc...You kinda have to force it in, its hard to explain. But thats only if you have your mouth closed wich is not reccommended at all...So anyway ima go kill robots. Cheers!!!

I am not sure if I missed it but you didn't talk about ammo. Which ammo you used to test on which weapons. I love my AG5 as it was my first Golden Gun but it's ammo is harder to find. If I use FMJ on my AG5 and AP on my AI-76 the AP rounds will do so much more damage. So did you test using a combo of FMJ & AP or was it all the same?

I only tested with FMJ to keep it even across the board, I plan on doing a whole separate video on AP rounds though my dude. And AG5 ammo is very plentiful up in the northern part of the map, if you're ever low looting up there should restock you pretty well :D

AG4 is a monster in its own right and really rips up hunters. :D in the end you cant really go wrong with any of these beasts! Personally i think AG4 has much more use than the AI in terms of 7.62 bullets, where the AI76 is good if you just wanna shoot like 1000 bullets lol

That is the big thing man! definitely 5.56 clogs the inventory (was a problem while testing this video not having enough 7.62 and *too* much 5.56) and the other thing too is when you have two weapons you almost guarantee getting 7.62 off every tank. Also! its entirely smart to caryy an AI as a tank killer/ load it with AP bullets. and carry the AG4 as a light DMR and give it the FMJ ammo. Inventory problems will hopefully be a thing of the past soon though my dude, gunna make a video on tomorrows news letter when it comes out :D

If you didn't delete the save on your system storage then likely that is the cause man! When you uninstall a game it still keeps the save data on ps4

You did something wrong. The AG4 is based on the german G3 rifle from Heckler & Koch. The AG5 is based on the U.S. M16 from Colt and the AK-76 not really sure, but I think they based it on the AKM. Also not sure why, but the devs did a really bad job with the weapons ingame. I heard some of them are hunters, so they should know how a weapon works... The sight alinement is totally wrong when you dont use scope attachments you would never hit using the rear and front sight like that, especially on the AG4.

The AG4 is based on the AK4A which is a variant of the G3A3. The AG5 is based on the AK5A which in turn is based on the FN FNC.
