Just if anyone was curious: the reason Apex legende showed similar results throughout is because it’s more gpu intensive than Fortnite and Valorant which are more cpu intensive. So really no matter what you do in apex it won’t do much as long as your cpu isn’t a bottleneck to you gpu then you could see some improvements even in apex. But since fn and val are so cpu intensive they each individually benefit greatly from different os configurations as to what suits the specific game the most.

I mean this isn't hard if you already have all the isos, you can make a folder on your C drive and leave all the games on your c drive inside one folder, meaning it doesn't get deleted when you install a windows version, then just benchmark all fuck it im not typing anymore

Thanks for doing this benchmark. I don't play games, but I do intensive CG tasks and simulations and the horrendous latency in w10 (even after optimizing it and doing registry hacks etc) is bad, really bad. So I'm looking at these as an alternative to see if I can get more speed out of this OS. If you do a benchmark on CG tools like Blender, or 3dsmax (free fully functional trial) or Houdini, Lightwave etc I'd love to see it!

I honestly think that latency and bloat in modern Windows is the single biggest cause for the incredible slow down of modern FPS games and the shift from games like Starcraft, Unreal Tournament, Quake, etc.. to slow modern milsim like and casual games. Bear in mind that having processes at 40 means a lot of things wont work. Printer spooling, lots of networking services, screenshotting, radeon software has issues with the 40 process or less versions (no issues with Ghost), VPNs have issues with some such as ggos, Bluetooth issues on most, FaceIT anticheat has issues on ggOS unless you get a specific version, Hyper-Visor and majority of VM programs will have issues or just plain not work (again, Ghost works the best for 'in-general/gaming' use, as opposed to JUST gaming), Atlas had removed RAID functionality, Windows defender (understandable) and completely removed restore points??? (why?) and ReviOS actually recommends you to change a LOT of BIOS settings, which seems redundant just for a Windows installation. If I'm changing THAT much I may as well just install Linux distro like PopOS or something and get similar performance and better stability honestly. Nvidia 30 series gpus just plain dont work on FoxOS, new AMD drivers have issues again. As much as having fewer processes is great, some of those 60 extra on GhostSpectre are quite frankly needed depending on what your're planning. AMD user? Just go GhostSpectre, every single other one has issues with new amd drivers. Always does apparently. Half of them don't support a few storage options such as raid and lan file sharing, Hyper-V and VMs dont work and have issues with all but GhostSpectre and limited support on Atlas. ReviOS needs a lot of setup post install in BIOS. Honestly speaking, you could slim GhostSpectre down to 40 to 60 processes too using the GhostBox/command-line system tweaker after completing installation, it takes an hour of setup sure, but at that point you may as well use the other versions. Granted, if something doesn't work you can just turn it back on, as opposed to having to reinstall completely a different version.

Not using the same power plan across the board really messes up the results. This is more of who has a better power plan than anything else. The power plan that pegs your system performance to 100% 24/7 is obviously going to win. I'm surprised no one else has brought it up.

I have personally never found any difference on any power plans and I can't find any actual benchmarks that show any difference online either. Every time I've tested power plans, it puts everything up to 100 when necessary but let me know if you have any test results because I just can't get anything out of it when I test that sort of thing.

@@jordanlazarus7345 I believe most, if not all, benchmarks don't directly test the responsiveness between idle and maxed allowed power and frequency states. The scoring portion doesn't start until the cpu is already spooled up and ready to go. Power plans can also affect max allowed current and how long a cpu (sometimes the gpu too) can boost for. The best way to measure this is to look at cpu and total system power draw over a period of time. The pc will always have a fixed power to work ratio. I run a dual e5-2698 v4 system and run multiple vms at the same time. There is an option I have in the bios that allows me to ignore all power option settings in the OS and run full-bore 24/7. I can definitely feel the difference in responsiveness when using the vms and when those vms are running games.

I've done some digging online and many people say they've found keyloggers that send data to russia/china and other malware that mines coins using your pc. Not entirely sure if it's true but you can create your own custom iso imagine which will be faster than stock windows and you'll be able to trust it because you built it yourself. For some reason all the custom Os Have given me less fps and more latency with revision OS being the least and GGos given me the worst performance. And ghost spectre is in between those two. #1 Most of the time installing chipset drivers have little to no impact (majority of the time causing worse performance test this yourself your computer) #2 On these custom versions, the same with stock, shader cache for a lot of games needs to be built as they're not preinstalled, for example: fortnite, so playing a few hours on a singular game before coming to a conclusion for that game's performance is best. (Apex Legends performs pretty bad on most custom isos) #3 If you've done any overclocks the speeds you've used on another custom ISO or even stock windows may not be stable on a custom ISO because the amount of powersaving features disabled. #4 Optional Tweaks, testing the optional tweaks and knowing what they do CAN have a significant performance increase #5 Tweaked stock MAY be better for your computer #6 Why're you worrying about 1 singular frame and 00.7 "less lateny" on a racing game? #7 As the person above has said changing the powerplan may do you some good but don't expect anything significant. #8 optimize your bios, grub as well l, these custom ISO perform the best if done so correctly

make sure you don't have such a new system though. i originally had LTSB and i needed Windows 10 1809 or newer to install NVIDIA Drivers. Fox OS only has Windows 10 1709

@@someguywithmtndew5691 yeah i have some issues but its alright now like that wifi adapter and the Nvidia drivers but i some how fixed it i rolled it back couple of time cuz of that blue screen. and finally its working fine
