Don't feel bad Fj! I was just enjoying Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and haven't read my notifications. Royal Sword can be used anytime. You can access it in the Synthesis tab. Royal Slash is unlocked at Level 20

About that even on the Can't DIE difficulty at lv 99 I still find SPELL damage on bosses CRAP even with the Gadabout's LV 48 skill used AND the 50 Monsters captured skill to use spells 4 times in 1 turn since the Monster tamer classes 2x a turn move MEANS you'll copy a SPELL 4 times but unlike other DQ's each of the 4 spell uses WILL BURN up your MP instead of it costing 0 for the extra spells in 1 turn.

It's good to do damage for trash fights. You can also use it for the utility I mentioned. I just beat the game and all optional content on Draconian Quest and I mostly used the Duplic Hat to Heal, Buff and Debuff and it was very easy.

Even on THAT mode at lv 99 spell damage is crap and the healing is pointless you'll still have everything on that mode still 1 shot the party.

If MP consumption is for whatever reason a trouble, there is the *glombolero, terrible defence wear but halves MP cost* and *mad cap, similar to glombolero but a hat* Glombolero is a reward for clearing rank 9 in the Cantlin monster arena and talking to Monty *Mad cap* is dropped/stolen from chimeras in tower of rubiss

@Naztalgic_Memories Additional details 1. Hero cannot equip either glombolero or map cap. Devs thought ahead to prevent cheap Omniheal spam 2. Seems that Map Cap has a 25% MP cut, while Glombolero has 50% MP cut.
