Really cool to see the cars of other drivers, diffrent setups on same chassis makes it fun

Just building my first XV-01. Compared to the many TT-01 and TT-02 I have built/rebuilt it's light years ahead. If I were starting out now I think a TT-02D would be an excellent buy, you get the bearings and decent oil shocks in the kit, a few blue bits and you just need to source a body shell of your own choice. I use several Kyosho built to rally spec off road, they all use belt drive and it is 100% reliable. Best wishes to you all for 2025.

I struggled with steering issues on the tt01 and tt02. Yokomo has less stearing issues out of the box

Fair point

@PopalongRC the xv01 definitely has no stearing issues. Just that original tt01. The tt02R has the front rack upgrade. But is more expensive. So its a toss up. Love the channel btw keep it popin along!

Well done to Mark and as always big thanks for the content guys. I have tt01,tt02,tt02sr,xv02 and a snrc r3 pro Of the tamiya the tt02sr is by far the best value and a great alrounder. I’ve spend a fortune upgrading all the tamiya. The xv02 has at least £300 worth of mods and upgrades. I’m actually running ta05 arms, hubs and knuckles. I couldn’t get the suspension travel I wanted with stock setup. The driveshafts fell out. The car now has much less roll due to the pivot locations. It’s a great do it all chassis. Run it on high grip carpet and outside on loose and it’s great everywhere. One big improvement was the reinforced chassis for less chassis flex.

I like how the xv-01 handles on loose dirt. It's quite forgiving. I had the tt-02 and it's a headache. 😂

Looking forward to seeing these run against each other.

The brushless motors at MK is to try and find a suitable brushless motor option that is broadly comparable with Core 21 brushed motor. So people have the option but the brushless cars are not quicker than the initially cheaper brushed.

Think is it good to experiment and give us something to discuss once a best fit is found … look forward to seeing how they all compare

You should also do what it does to tt02.

Horses for courses.. cg, balance and weight transfer is what defines where it will feel at home.. a well set up TT chassis will beat a XV chassis on a carpet road course.. a well setup XV chassis will beat a TT chassis on a rally course.. can a good driver make up the difference? kinda depends on how many other good drivers show up for the race.. but it's always fun to start the day as the underdog and kick some butt🖖

You can use the same body on all three to keep it even more consistent.

I like your thinking Only down side is they have different body post positions … and will be harder to identify cars when editing hahaha

Hi I've got the 01 to build yet but regards the mo3 I've broken the shock holder at the front can't find a replacement part any ideas thanks
@PopalongRC2 күн бұрын
What do you mean shock holder …
@dads-army2 күн бұрын
The steering end of the mo3 the chassis have a shock mount on each side of the chassis it's one of them that's broken were the screw goes in to hold the top of the shock to.
@allanritchie15392 күн бұрын
There's quite a difference in the cost range of the three but is there the same difference in the performance between them. You can get a TT02D that comes with bearings and oil shocks for £109, I think it's more about how you set it up that counts. As having several TT02's in my collection all with different setups some brushed and some brushless they all behave differently. I also have a couple of Banzi chassis's which for £80 are a very good option with oil shocks and bearings. It all depends how much you want to spend on the body and electrics compared to a RTR. ❤❤❤❤❤

Smallest of criticisms: after your intro, you could have removed all 3 cars on our right, and spread out the 3 remaining that were the focus of the video. It would have felt less cramped. Otherwise, a sterling bit of journalism!

Xv01 is easier to drive with a heavy front it simply drags the year to get the tt01 to have bearing and oil shocks it narrows down the price gap xv02 is faster than the xv01 but harder to drive lesser front bias than the xv01
