@KHAOS RYDERS The Book of Joel is basically about the judgement of God to the people of Israel, the Jews. Amos earned a living as a Shepherd to show God uses everyone, not just those in ministry. God comes to him so that he can relay the message to the people of Israel who had forgotten Yo'el ways to repent from sin and warns what will happen if they don't. God is a righteous God but will not tolerate sin forever.

EXACTLY what I thought. And his comparisons of Amos to first Moses, then David are utterly without biblical foundation. Just a terrible, totally empty assessment. A seven year old in Sunday School could have done better.

I think this was more like a Prologue than an overview. I think he shoukd have labeled it as such. It wasn't really a waste, it just wasn't as advertised, Please be more kind, The whole teaching of Jesus hinges on kindness and love..,practice uncommon love and save the harshness for those who truly deserve it.♡♡♡Many Blessings and Peace to you,♡

@@gaylechristensen6285 This has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus. Please. And it certainly isn't a "prologue." Jim Hamilton fancies himself as a eminent theologian. He is not. Hamilton is a light weight at best. I have read his takes on Isaiah 7 and Genesis 2, and they are as empty as this mess was. We came here for an instruction on a minor prophet, and didn't get a thing. Hamilton is the one who should be apologizing.
