interesting video, could use some pictures or videos of the roads while you are talking about them.

All fair points, these videos are recorded and edited a while in advance, but I have started to include screencaptures on the videos I'm making, so you'll see them later this week. Appreciate the feedback - GH

The first one which came to mind upon reading the title of the video is the Périphérique (ring road) around Paris. Though not on the list in terms of vehicles per hour because of its speed limit.

I thought the German A7 would be here as well. It bassicly connects North Europe and Scandanavia with the rest.

Fun fact: The Route du Soleil (F) does not connect to the Autostrada del Sole (IT).

Does it not? That was just a guess I made, you'd think so with the similar names but there you go. Thanks for the info! - GH

I thought that the Paris ring road would be on the list with 1,2 million vehicles per day on it!

Paris traffic is rather infamous for a reason, that being one of them - GH

interresting, since the bussiest highway in germany used to be a100, which is the inner half ring highway of berlin. mayby it has fallen down, due to reconstruction.

it would have helped showing a table with AADT values (even though the sources are not official). It's crazy to hear a motorway moves around 250.000 vehicles/day. I don't know the average degree of occupancy in all of the examples, but if we assume 1,8 passengers / veh, we get close to half a million persons/day or the equivalent of a medium city. Considering, further more, the peak hourly factors of 6-7% we have 16-17.000 vehicles/hour, which is an absurd value in terms of capacity, requiring at least 3 or 4 lanes in each direction.

Appreciate the feedback. And yes, crazy numbers! It's not hard to see why roads such as the M25 in London is basically gridlocked for hours each day during morning and evening rush hour! - GH

I thought a highway around Istanbul or Moscow would be on this list.
@romeo2473Ай бұрын
in terms of Moscow, wiki says: "With a standard throughput of 40,000 cars per day to date, the traffic intensity reaches 130,000-170,000 cars." Classification, for this video, should be carried only on AADT values (IMHO), and not on peak recorded values (let's say during an important holiday).
