Hi Mike. I walked the Camino in 2014 from St Jean and I'm planning to do it all again in the next year or so. We are now living north of Bordeaux so I'll be adding quite a few more hundred km to the distance as I'm intending to start from the front door! Anyway, your videos are excellent. You're bang on with the information you provide and are they great fun to watch. Did you do any footage when you walked with your son? Id love to see it. Keep em coming!

Paul, yes I have loads of footage. I'm slipping bits in where appropriate, keep watching. I have some cool aerial footage in the middle of nowhere. In Roncesvalles footage in the Albergues episode you see him walking past the camera there too. We would often start our day filming ourselves walking out the Albergue and talking to family back home which we uploaded. I'm also working on a book with my son, each day having a dual-view of the father's view and the son's view. Based on our diaries, we saw things differently many times. I've got a year or 2's worth of Camino projects on the to do list already with this channel and the book. I could even do a feature film, but, I'm not sure about that - Maybe the next Camino with the next son.

Hi Mike, I've just subscribed. I'm looking forward to watching your videos from an Australian traveller's perspective and will probably ask lots of questions! It's my dream to walk the Camino Frances and planning for 2024. I'm curious, as you walked in 2019, what's make you start making the videos now?

Thanks Maureen. Gee that's the deepest question I've had so far. The short answer is covid rules imploded our family business and destroyed our children’s performing careers. There is a lot more to that, but this is not the place. Initially I’ve been working on a book with my son on our Camino. It’s through the first draft and is way too long. I needed a break from that and started this channel. I think I just felt the book was taking too long to share and this gets the Camino love out there quicker. Still going to finish the book, eventually. Thanks for subscribing, I hope it helps your planning for 2024.

@@MikeOnTheCamino That's me ... I ask the deep questions! :). I hope that didn't come across as being intrusive as it was a genuine question as I'm curious what drives people to do things. They are wonderful reasons to start your videos. Good luck.

Nah, I love the deep questions. You made me think, which a rare thing in these reactive times.
