@@scarlightemperor3410 Go for it! a nice little addition I added was that clocks or anything that measures time breaks around them within reason, can't really break a sun dial, but an hourglasses would get blocked somehow and clocks will tic but never move. Flavour them how you want, My guy had an obsession with covering himself with pocket watches.

Liam has said before that Calebs used be an Evocation Wizard before his time in the mental institution. Afterwards he switched to Transmutation. So if he trains with the Dynasty enough he could probably switch schools again

How would a character learn this magic is the point Im stuck on if it isn't a school and the Drow and Cerberus Assembly have the Luxon beacons, makes me think any player related to it, would have to have Krynn or Cerberus relations to learn Dunamacy.

I made one for my strahd campaign - old arch-mage that destroyed his body and sent him mind back in time so his younger self could confront Barovia and strahd before the thousands of deaths that would happen. I cant wait to see what happens

This subclass reminds me of an encounter I based almost entirely on the VM fight against Kamaljiori; with changes in the combat arena based on how many rounds have passed. After defeating the Androsphinx, one of the party members was given the spells Slow and Haste, though these spells would put a whole new spin on that encounter, with the Sphinx casting time-dunamancy.

Anyone feel free to homebrew anything you want! Add in more time stuff, plunder whatever you like from the various sourcebooks and use it on your own or other worlds! You can wholesale lift this class from this book and put it into your own homebrew world as another cultures time tower or something with a test to enter and train in as a wizards apprentice! You can just take this you don’t HAVE to play IN Wildemount! I just thought a few people needed this reminder! Ah thanks for this; great stuff takes a special DM to add to the lore of DND in a way that most players have been wanting! This book seems great for non Critical role fans just as much as the fans! I already preordered!

Nah... manipulation of time in a demi-plane has always been a thing that a wizard powerful enough to actually create said demi-plane could do. Time in the Planes in general can get weird.

This sounds like a great subclass, I'm just curious how choosing it might limit your character options in Wildemount since it seems picking that would tie you closely to the Kryn Dynasty. I don't think the Empire they are at war with recognises that type of magic. Not that this is a bad thing, just interesting to consider.

Technically any Wizard can switch schools of magic since their magic is based on study and practice, so you could make the argument that a Wizard can just study themselves into a different specialty.

I disagree that haste and slow affect time. They physically affect the target, speeding up or slowing down their reflexes and enhancing or limiting their actions. That’s why haste causes you to be momentarily exhausted when the spells ends, it’s not time catching back up to you.

I think you're right, but there can be multiple paths to the same result, and thus two schools could have the same spell, with the same effect, but different logic.
