⁉️ Which conditions should be met while prostrating (sajda) and which duas should be recited in Sajda?

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When one of you prostrates, let him put his hands down before his knees, and not kneel like a camel.'"

♦️ Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I have been ordered to prostrate on seven bones i.e. on the forehead along with the tip of the nose and the Prophet (ﷺ) pointed towards his nose, both hands, both knees and the toes of both feet and not to gather the clothes or the hair."

🔊 Skipping Raising of hands (Raf' al-Yadayn) while going in Sajda:

♦️Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah:
My father said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say "Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd." And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.

♦️In prostrations, he ﷺ placed both his hands on the ground with the forearms away from the ground and away from his body, and his toes were facing the Qibla.

♦️ "When the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed, he used to separate his arms from his body so widely that the whiteness of his armpits was visible."

♦️ When he ﷺ prostrated he kept his thighs wide and did not let his belly touch the thighs.

Jazak Allahu khair for your video. I asked that a class on how to perform the salah (according to the Sunnah of Rasulullah [saw]) be taught at my local masjid and was told to ask a sister to show me. I was very hurt and disappointed at this response because i know that i am not alone in my ignorance. Many reverts are in need of instruction and even some who were taught as children. Our salah is the 1st of our deeds that Allah (swt) will judge. Nothing else of our ibadah will be accepted if our salah is not in order. It is for this reason that i requested a formal class.

There are a few (or majority ) of Indians that say that the woman's prayer is slightly different from a man's and they make fun of me from praying normally. For example, 1. They bind their hands over/above their breasts and it honestly looks weird. 2. They don't bend 90 degrees for Rukuu. They bend only 30 degrees or so. 3. While in sujood the body is compressed. They say that the women's chest should touch her thighs. 4. They don't directly go into sujood. They first sit and then afterwards bend into sujood. I would like to know a scholar's opinion on this.

It’s from the hanafi school.of thought. Where it’s said that we should do it serially like first knees, then palm of our hands and nose lastly forehead. But if the serial is not maintained the prayer will be valid in sha allah

There is no difference between the way men and women pray except two things and they are: 1: when the imam of the men wrongs for example he forgot to sit down for the first tashahhud, then men will say subhanallah for him to recognise that he did wrong while women will clap their hands for their imam( woman imam) to recognise her wrong. 2: Men can pray loud prayers loud anytime while women can't pray the loud prayers loud if they are non mahram men around her but if they are with their Mahram men they can pray the loud prayers loud ( for example if you are with your mahram men like your husband, your father, your brothers or your uncle you can pray the loud prayers loudly ) The rest are all the same because there is no authentic prove that says the prayer of men and women are different except those two issues I told you

@@sabahasan1910 Ibn Uthaymeen ( a well known scholar that even sheikh assim Al Hakeem learnt a lot form him) said "There is a formula that says men and women are same for the ahkam( the rulings) of Allah unless there is an authentic prove ( daliil) that differentiates them (I mean unless there is an authentic prove that says this ruling men and women are not the same) there is no an authentic prove that says the sujuud( prostration) of men and women are not the same). So it's your mom that needs to tell us the daliil ( the authentic prove) that says the sajda of men and women are different, if she doesn't have an authentic prove then tell her the formula that says the rulings of Allah are same for men and women unless there is an authentic prove that differentiates them( that says they are not the same) and am sure that there is no difference between the sajdah of men and women because there is no authentic prove that says the sajdah (prostration) of men and women are different.

And when I tried to express the point he said "Who is elder, me or you?" And I was left speechless. I couldn't say anything further because my family is doing a lot of bidah and when I correct them, they mock me instead. the prophet pbuh said pray as you’ve seen me pray (i don’t know the exact phrase) but simply he said pray how u see me pray, and he doesn’t specify gender, so it’s generalised and plus there are no authentic hadiths specifying the differences of women and men praying differently. hope this helped :)
