Walled Lake beach is nearly impossible to get to as a resident because the people who own the houses around that beach think they own the lake there. They will bully you out of there. There is also absolutely NO public transportation in or out of the city. So if you have an expectation of buses you’ll be walking to a nearby city to catch the bus there. This is to keep the city safe from dwellers who have no destinations. The houses here are expensive but well kept up. People are not friendly so stay off their property and you’ll have no problems. Police are called for a lot of small things. The smallest rent I’ve ever known or heard about is 1200.00 but if he said 700.00 for an apartment I’m sure they’re around but they probably have well water..and possibly Walled Lake or Northville schools with a Novi address, though all 3 districts are good. There is a lot more traffic in Novi than 20 years ago. Novi isn’t the quiet city it once was.
