So I just wanted to answer what is the difference between china, porcelain and bone china? its a short video with very simple explenation.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for this quick and simple information. I had no idea bone china actually has bones in it :( I thought it was called that because of its color (I'm VERY new to pottery).

can you recommend some bone china manufacturers that are high quality ? price is not an issue, looking to buy a complete set for at least 8 people that i can use on special occasions (christmas dinner etc)

It’s called China because it was first made in China. Had to do a quick google to double check my self .

So porcelain contains Bone Ash. Some companies like Wilmax England claim they don't add Bone Ashes to it

There's also 'new bone china' that adds something like synthetic bone instead of real bone

Wedgwood just discontinued the English Lace collection, which is what we had chosen for our wedding registry. We're now need to choose something else before we send invitations. Can you recommend additional brands?

China is the term used for the dinnerware, its made from clay and baked.

All porcelain is China or China ware or Chinese ceramics, not all China is porcelain. China originally got its name because all of it came from China. Not today, however.

You missed a crucial step! Look on the bottom of a plate for markings, proceed with internet search. Thousands of people have lived over seas, and brought different types of porcelain, bone, etc.. You spent more time thinking about this, than executing! Fail.
