What is the difference between Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine and Combined Chlorine

This session will provide swimming pool operators with an understanding of the difference between Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine and Combined Chlorine. Les Mole will illustrate how a disinfectant system should work for a swimming pool. In this example, the disinfectant is chlorine.

How do I lower combined chlorine? Ph and alkalinity and cya are all in ideal range... combined chlorine is 8.83

You cant remove CYA. You have to drain some of the water and replace

@Lrak wons no breaks point explains what's happening when ur adding more chlorine and ur Chlorine residuals is going down. There are 4 stages. Stage 1 u add cl2 and you get no residual. Stage 2 u add more cl2 and u get combined cl2 but no free cl2. Stage 3 u add cl2 but residual start to drop. This is bc u are destroying the Chlormines. Stage 4 is when u add cl2 and free cl2 residual comes out. That's when u have hit breakpoint
