@mudumba sriddhar, TDS is 650 so hardness must be around 450 - 500 PPM as a thumbrule PPM. So water is moderately hard. It can be checked in a water testing lab or through a water hardness testing kit. If you don't want any maintenance and recurring expenses then go for nitipure water conditioner otherwise water softener should be the first choice. However it depends on many other factors too such as flat or Indipendent house, how much water is used daily etc. Pl call India Water Systems at 8790004422 for a discussion and to arrive at a right conclusion.

Sir, mine is an individual house, we use bore water (bore depth 150 feet) through 1HP jet motor (1inch pipe) , we have a 500 ltr overhead sintex tank, which is sufficient for one day for daily use, and have a water purifier (RO+UV+UF+MTDS) for drinking.... Sir we did water testing and the results are as below... Bore water.. TDS 1300 Hardness 900 RO water from purifier TDS 110 Hardness 34... We are from coastal area (north Andhrapradesh), around 15 km away from sea coast.. So can you suggest the best among water softener and water conditioner for our overhead tank... Thank you.
