Ali, Pakistan has options, if it shows a damn spine and fights for its rights to have the honour to host a World Cup, as bestowed on them by ICC. India has no basis for requesting ICC to take hosting rights away from Pakistan. And you're wrong, India is the winner here in any model where Pakistan does not retain sole hosting rights for Champions Trophy. Did Pakistan have any options or basis for requesting a hybrid model during 2023 World Cup held in India? No. So similarly, India also doesn't have options for requesting a hybrid model for 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Now, if india is giving hush money to ICC, that's the difference maker then. These double standards are deeply damaging to the reputation of ICC and the sport of cricket. So there are always options. Don't pretend that Pakistan has no options. Don't be weak and timid. You are always appealing to the fragile ego of Indians. Speak openly against India when it commits wrong, injustice, and immoral actions, just like you would speak out against PCB or Pakistan if they did something immoral. The solution is simple, which avoids the so-called logical complexities born out of this nuisance from India. If ICC has cleared a country for any security concerns, and has bestowed the honour on a country to be the host of an ICC event, then that event will take place there. If any country (which is always India) causes nuisance and disruption for an ICC event, then that country can abstain from participating in the ICC event. That is the solution. But they cannot be stubborn unjustly and demand ICC to change its logicstics and plans. India does not have to come to Pakistan but a world/ICC event also DOES NOT have to move to another part of the world, because of the tantrums of one country (such as India).

ICC should only move hosting rights to another country when there is legitimate, unbiased reason for doing so. When a country has been cleared for security by all sanctioning bodies, then no other country can claim to want to have the ICC event shifted to another country or region. Now, India has the right to not participate in 2025 Champions Trophy if they don't want to travel to Pakistan for this ICC event. But india does not have the right to have their matches organized outside of the host nation. It is not fair to all other cricket nations that India gets subjected to different treatment and playing conditions while the rest of the countries in the contest get different playing conditions and treatment. This is alarming not just for PCB, but for all cricket boards in the world other than BCCI. Pakistan should strongly reject hybrid model based on false allegations from India when all developed nations like England and Australia are visiting Pakistan for Champions Trophy. So what is India's issue? India's issue is not wanting to see any good news for Pakistan and not wanting Pakistan to be bestowed with any honours. This is setting a dangerous precedent moving forward, where any country can now reject ICC's model for world cup events and claim that they wish to play the ICC event somewhere other than the host nation, despite ICC reports sending clearances and assurities, other teams touring Pakistan for bilateral series and despite foreigners touring Pakistan. Sports should be used to bridge gaps and should be kept free from corruption and politics. These are things that the cricket world and fraternity must seriously think about and question.

Hi, great to hear you always Ali bhai. I have a question, why in 2023 World cup, Pakistan demanded there matches in Srilanka or B'desh instead of accepting to come to India ? They had a very good case to do that, just how Bcci has option now for Champions trophy.

Ali here: good question. Yes they always had this option and they didn’t exercise it.

@@SaweraPasha1 I think they wanted to keep that door open for India to visit Pak for champions trophy, had they exercised then, it would have shut the door permanently for India to visit Pak. However now since BCCI will not agree to come to Pak they might and will take that option in 2026 T20 WC unless there is something else happening inside those closed door meetings with boards & ICC.
