What is the EU budget's mid-term review?

Stretched to its limit by the impact of Russia's war against Ukraine, rising borrowing costs, and high inflation, the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework (MFF), the EU long-term budget, has no room for maneuver left.
To make sure it remains fit for purpose until 2027, the European Commission proposed a review of the budget.
