What is the Fibromyalgia diet?
Many people with fibromyalgia find certain foods can trigger a flare-up. Sugar, gluten, dairy, and fried or processed foods can lead to symptoms like widespread muscle pain (myalgia) and fatigue.
The connection between the foods you eat and fibromyalgia pain is not well understood. Some evidence suggests food allergies or intolerances may be to blame.1 Other research links fibromyalgia symptoms to nutritional deficiencies, such as iron, vitamin D, and B-complex vitamins.2

Sugar, wine are my triggers in food. Whenever I find myself migrating back to consuming them, I pay the price!

I found being too hot triggered pains, so spend a lot of time applying cold packs and throwing cover off bed. I sat at a wedding once holding a young baby but spent the whole night in agony with the added pain of restless legs. Am grateful that nowadays there is more understanding about fibromyalgia thank you.

this sounds very good: however you fail to state that fibr. is cellular and it takes a long time for cells to heal just cutting out one foodfor a couple of days may help but not in the long run. Naturally every body is different, I found that not using any seed oil when cooking to be the best way to start sorting out food problems . but then even the half life of seed oil is a long time. It took nearly three years before I really started to feel the difference. each person needs to do their own research.

I was diagnosed 1990 ( had it in the 70’s) by a Dr in Seattle the top arthritis Dr at the time. It was so refreshing to be told what was wrong with me. Very unusual for the time. My reg dr still didn’t get it ever, even my arthritis dr didn’t acknowledge what this top professional had found. It has taken this many yrs for fibro to come to the forefront. Gave up MDS 20+yrs ago. Our drs are functional drs. We are both fighting mold poisoning and Lyme disease, Dr Cory Priest has been a blessing. We travel 4 hours every 2 weeks for treatments. I am finding out using our hyperbaric chamber, far infra red sauna, far infra red lights, red laser every day to other day has been helping with the pain caused by fibromyalgia, mold and Lyme symptoms which is a lot of daily pain. Killing mold and Lyme. Great for brain also.

I wish I would have known this 20 plus years ago. It would have saved me so much time, pain, weight gain, etc. but back when I was diagnosed it was just you have it and sorry about your luck. There was no emphasis on nutrition or exercise. Now I know I MUST have both or I feel like absolute crap. I still don’t feel great, but I feel so much better if I cut out sugar, gluten, dairy, fried foods and salt.
