I was actually surprised when you said Waluigi Pinball was the only DS fan favorite in the DLC because from my experience Peach Gardens seems to be a fan favorite as well. I saw a lot of people, especially quite a few of my followers/mutuals on Twitter, hoping for that track to come back ever since Wave 1 was released.

With Wave 3, it's definitely become a bit more revered, although I always saw Waluigi Pinball, Tick Tock Clock, Airship Fortress, Delfino Square and Luigi's Mansion as being the tracks that recieved most of the attention (can't say I think all of those tracks deserve that praise lol)

Y'know, I was not a fan of the idea of getting Mario Circuit, up until you mentioned the idea of lap 3 going backwards. While it would still be a relatively basic track, it would spice it up enough, and would fit wave 4 incredibly well, even more than Airship Fortress.

I’m personally rooting for Airship Fortress, it’s incredibly nostalgic for me and it’s just an overall wonderful track thematically, although Luigi’s Mansion and Delfino Square are also tracks I hold deep nostalgia for. Mario Circuit is… unfortunately somewhat possible. I can’t say that I dislike the track but despite Mario Kart DS being a game I played a lot when I was a kid, Mario Circuit is a track that never made much of an impression on me, although it’s a track that I could end up loving if it got a remake. Ultimately Mario Circuit has surprisingly compelling reasons behind it but I also don’t think the power of nostalgia can be ignored, Nintendo giving 6 Wii tracks which are probably all the most beloved tracks of the game is proof of this and them choosing one of the most beloved DS tracks wouldn’t be a surprise.

As interesting of an idea is the backwards potential of DS Mario Circuit, I don’t think it saves it imo. Despite it being one of the longer Mario Circuits in the series, it’s still incredible bland that the backwards mechanic would get old fast. Kalamri Desert did the route change well because it incorporated the tunnel and the trains coming towards you, and Peach Gardens at least allowed you to run through the monty moles, piranha plant, and the chain chomps and hedge maze while also gliding too. Mario Circuit really just has a few easily dodgeable fire piranha plants and goombas while the rest of the track is the exact same. Plus Airship Fortress with its fan favorite factor and excellent use of unique obstacles and theming makes it too perfect for its inclusion in the BCP. That’s also not to say it’s complete overhaul that it had just like Waluigi Pinball and the other 2 DS tracks as well. I’m still holding out that Airship Fortress is the last DS track especially since every other game is ending with a fan favorite as well.

Well, Albert, whatever the case, there is one video I would love to see you & other people try to make someday. A Mario Kart "What if...?" Specfically: "What other cities / continents could we see have Mario Kart representation in Tour & 8 Deluxe in case Madrid, Athens, & Orlando end up not being the case?" That could be something you & others could touch upon in future videos, as you've detailed in your video regarding Pirahnan Plant Cove. And if there's anything to mention why certain cities / continents could have Mario Kart representation instead of Madrid, Athens, and/or Orlando, it would be so that other continents can have representation because we already have Mario Kart representation in North America (With New York & Los Angles in the United States of America, & Vancouver in Canada), Europe (With London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam), Asia (With Tokyo, Singapore, and Bangkok), and Australia (With Sydney). That leaves the following to be possible candidates to have Mario Kart representation. South America, with cities like Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (which I hope for due to Rio franchise & Rio's olympic games). Africa. Mexico (esp. since Mario wore outfits realsted to Mexico in Odyssey). And Central America and/or Latin America. All these above listed continents and/or cities have yet to have Mario Kart representation, whether via Mario Kart Tour, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass, or both; and all look like they could have a chance to get such representation along with the already exisiting Mario Kart representations from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Antarctica? Not so much, as its mostly a land of ice & animals, but no cities; plus, a track in Antarctica would be too similar to tracks like Sherbet Land, Ice Ice Outpost, Snow Land, and possibly Vanilla Lake.

@@hardondong3550 That’s also not to say that end of every wave, the end of the first cup always ended on a fan favorite: Wave 1 with Coconut Mall, Wave 2 with Waluigi Pinball, and Wave 3 with Maple Treeway. I know Yoshi’s Island is gonna be the last course of the first cup of Wave 4 but Airship Fortress would be the next ending fan favorite before that track. Mario Circuit and the other likely retros don’t fill that void as much as that track alone.

Great video Albert! I actually made a similar type of video about a week ago with discussing on what DS course would return. I personally think DS Mario Circuit has the best potential of returning, however Airship Fortress would be so much better since we have hardly any Bowser themed retro courses. And Delfino Square, as much as I’d want it, probably won’t happen unfortunately.

In my opinion, the most likely final DS course is actually a 3-way tie between Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Square, and Airship Fortress, with the lone deciding factor being what wave it is. So, assuming that the DS course stays put, I'm a hard Team Bowser, though I can see your reasons for DS Mario Circuit.

The reason why people have been debating if it's delfino or airship is because. They are both fan favorites and they also both returned as the 3rd Course in a retro cup. For me I see airship fortresses will come back. Even if it's a harder tracks for the fruit cup it's still has a very simple layout. Delfino switch is to similar to Amsterdam Drift and We have way to many Circuit tracks in mk8 and why would they pick an obscure choice for the final course for a game? N64 Got kalamari Desert and 3DS got rainbow road. So that's why I think airship fortresses will be the last ds track.

I'd love a Super Circuit video next. Considering the amount of creative overhaul that has been done to GBA tracks on 8 and Tour, I'm extremely interested on which GBA Track would be selected and especially HOW will they be remade (i.e. Riverside Park getting a cave area in the end, Boo Lake having anti-gravity and an underwater section, Ribbon Road in a kid's playroom) Anything you wouldn't expect from a GBA track, but the track being labeled as a GBA Track. GBA's limitations have been given justice and the devs just now realized how loved Super Circuit would've been if the hardware is better/upgraded

i do not think that mario circuit has that high of a chance (and airship fortress is more likely) because of many reasons: 1. the ds track does not have to be in that exact spot. they can easily have airship fortress as the last ds track and just push it to wave 5 to make it "more fitting" in terms of difficulty. and in terms of that: 2. the difficulty of mario circuit and airship fortress are not far apart. actually, they are pretty close, since they both originate from the star cup and are next to each other. and wave 4 doesn't necessarily have to be an easier wave again, it could also still have around wave 3 difficulty (which was not that difficult btw). and since we very likely get singapore in wave 4 as well and singapore being a way more complex and difficult track than any other city we got this far, i don't think the difficulty isn't that big of an argument. 3. the alternate path doesn't make too much sense. while i think it'd be awesome, peach gardens already had the whole path built and just had a small bush section that was needed to be deleted, while mario circuit's castle is just an object with nothing inside of it. that section would have to be made from scratch, and that makes it quite unlikely 4. the popularity. if they put mario circuit into the game and leave out airship fortress, luigis mansion AND delfino square and not put in one of them, everyone is going to be mad. and mario circuit is also not fitting as the last ds track at all (even if we didn't know it would be the last track we'd get, we would make it to wave 6 eventually and see that they left out the fan-favourites) 5. the fire piranha plant does not have to be associated to that track neccessarily. we got city track with whomps (berlin), the ink piranha plant (bangkok), the crabs (singapore) and even the goombas with the life savers (also singapore). so seeing a fire piranha plant in a different city track would not be a surprise at all. otherwise it could also very likely appear in the new tour nitro track, piranha plant cove, as we get to drive through a jungle section at one part and a fire piranha plant as an obstacle there would make so much sense. 6. spamming circuit tracks. we had 4 circuit tracks in the main game (mario circuit, gba mario circuit, gcn yoshi circuit, and kind of n64 royal raceway) and now got two more (3ds toad circuit, snes mario circuit 3). having another circuit track would just be way too many of them, because 6/96 is already a lot to get, especially because all city tracks have long portions of "just driving on a street" as well. they would waste a bit of potential by putting in a seventh circuit track. and these are the reasons i do not think mario circuit is more likely than the other fan favourite tracks. delfino square i get that there are so many city courses already that it would be kind of repetitive (but on the other hand, we will get two cups with two cities each), but luigis mansion and airship fortress are incredibly unique for the game since both of these themes have not been made into tracks in the game yet (also the luigis mansion argument is not that good because wario arena and waluigi pinball had the same music in the original, why should you change that in a seperate game? but the battle track and ds track are very different, regarding instrumentation, so they would definitely make a different remix out of that [also because the ds track has a different part in the music while the battle track doesn't]).

Great video as always! Personally I doubt all the spots lacking prefixes will be new Tour Nitro non-city tracks so we might even get more than one DS track. Yeah, as much as it hurts me I doubt Delfino Square will be part of the Booster Course Pass, the biggest reason being it's not already in Tour, not even datamined (same reasoning for Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road). My guess is either Airship Fortress or Luigi's Mansion because they're already in Tour and both are fan favorites while Mario Circuit is only datamined and is certainly not a track people would be excited to see (even if you were right about its layout it would still be controversial at least at first since we didn't know about Peach Gardens until we actually got it).

@@playerlgamer0592 Getting 3 new non-city tracks in the last wave seems excessive to me when we got only 1 in each of the previous ones and also how slowly we got them in Tour so far... 1 or even 2 (one for each cup in wave 6) seems more likely, but I'd love to be wrong! One more thing that makes me doubt it is that because of Piranha Plant Cove now there's one less datamined id from Tour according to the current speculation since mob_OR ended up being that while mob_NU, the one that originally had that track's assets, is thought to be just a test one (now that I think about it NU could stand for "null").

If Nintendo would bring DS Luigi's Mansion, I can see the track get its own remix music. The Battle stages Sweet Sweet Kingdom and Dragon Palace musics are the remix versions of Sweet Sweet Canyon and Dragon Driftway from the base game. Also I would love to see DS Luigi's Mansion to be in the game, but I honestly would pick Airship Fortress.

The difference with SSC and DD and their battle stages is: they were made back when they didn’t reuse music from base game, but now that there’s a precedent of it happening, they would probably do it again…

Even tho you make a good point. But People would be very mad if Nintendo ended the ds saga with a circuit track. And I think Nintendo knows how much hate they will get for it. That's why I think it would be Luigi mansion. They will not make a new remix for it. So the song doesn't fit the track very well. But atleast Nintendo will not get as much hate as ending the ds saga with a circuit track. (I want airship Fortress. Its my second favorite track of all time. But I just cant see it at the start of the low row.)

Here are my opinions on which track would come back likely (Tracks already in the game will not be talked about) Figure 8 Circuit: Impossible, it's way too simple, simpler than Toad Circuit in fact, would probably induce fan rage if they bring this back Yoshi Falls: Impossible, same reason as Figure 8 Circuit and like you said, most likely will conflict with the Yoshi Island Tour nitro IF it does come out Luigi Mansion: Unlikely, there IS a Tour remake of it, but we had Boo Lake in Wave 3, and it might be too repetitive to release two tracks of the similar atmosphere (ominous) in two continuous waves, and with the Battle Arena taking place in it there might not be a chance it will come back, or it could, but I wouldn't be very sure about it Desert Hills: Unlikely, it's like you said, clashes with Dry Dry Desert Delfino Square: Neutral, since there is no Tour remake, but it fits the theme of the Fruit Cup, we might see it or not DK Pass: Unlikely, like you said, will clash with DK Snowboard Cross despite having a Tour remake itself Mario Circuit: Likely, I remember seeing a page where it says it was leaked for Tour, wouldn't be 100% sure but it does make sense if it will come back, I wouldn't look forward to it unless they make it more interesting like Peach Gardens however Airship Fortress: Likely, it's in the same cup as Mario Circuit and a fan favorite AND it has a Tour remake, if they don't bring this fan favorite back it won't make sense at all Rainbow Road: Impossible, as much as I want this one to come back, it's only the first wave of a new row AND there was already a Rainbow Road in Wave 3, would be too repetitive to have two Rainbow Roads in two continuous waves EDIT: You were right

I would really like to see DS Rainbow Road. There are those two looping sections which are boost areas where the characters are upside down. If in the booster pass, they can be normal driving speed areas, but made into anti-grav sections. I'd also like to see a Bowser's Castle track but not from SNES or GBA.

I don't believe the Mario Kart 8 Booster Pass leak as all (part from the music that been data mind) because there's so many tracks that been remade in Tour that stupid not to have them in Mario Kart 8. Like why one have 1 more DS track and no new N64 tracks? If data mind says GCN Waluigi Stadium was suppose to be in wave 3 and yet we got Wii Maple Treeway then it shows that the leaks aren't confirmed as true. To me the leaks track placement are just placeholders juts for Nintendo to have an idea which track to put in that wave.

I have had this same hunch for a while now. Personally, I actually would kill to have DS Mario Circuit, since I think it is quite underrated, and it has a BANGER theme. Just imagine if the music gets the Shroom Ridge treatment! Also, I really do like the idea of going backwards by entering the castle, with all the twists and turns, suddenly going backwards would be quite difficult.

According to the music and prefix leaks, and based on what's already been released, when Wave 6 is released, in total, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have: 4 SNES courses 6 N64 courses 8 GBA courses 8 GCN courses 7 DS courses 9 Wii courses 7 3DS courses This is a total of 49 courses from SNES to 3DS. Then you have: 14 Tour city courses 8 Tour non-city courses (e.g. Merry Mountain and Ninja Hideaway) or brand new courses (e.g. Sky-High Sundae and Yoshi's Island) This will add up to a total of 71 courses. And of course, for those who are wondering where the other 25 courses went.... well, you're an idiot.

As much as I'm on the DS airship fortress train, I wouldn't mind DS mario circuit Could be an interesting case of 2 tour levels not in tour yet that debuts in the BCP like gba snow land and sky high sundae Well, since each wave had at least 1 level that didn't debut in tour yet in some way Wave 1 had shroom ridge and coconut mall, sky garden when the BCP was first announced Wave 2 had gba snow land and sky-high sundae Wave 3 had peach gardens..kinda.. .it was announced first in the direct months before it appeared in tour It's a loose theory but we can always get caught off guard with stages not in tour at the moment

I have a theory that Waluigi Stadium was originally supposed to be the track that wasn’t in Tour yet for Wave 3… But then they either ran out of time or just thought that Maple Treeway would be a better selling point, and so switched it up…

I think Luigi's Mansion has the highest chance of coming back. Wave 4 are the cups which usually have easier tracks and Luigi's Mansion was a Mushroom cup track, and Luigi's Mansion is a huge fan favorite.

I would LOVE to see Figure-8 Circuit in Wave 5 or 6 of the BCP. More likely in Wave 5.
