Cant wait to receive this, so glad i backed the kickstarter2, i was very confident in poots ability to overdeliver (and was fully aware of his tendancy to take his time). Well done - love this video. I'm so happy that we have secret surprises coming in the box(es!). Honestly, there feels like so much we don't know about the new systems it will feel overwhelming but will absolutely feel like christmas for months and months. Is there any system/quarry/mini you are most looking forward to? For me the crimson croc (really looking forward to painting this too) and lion armour narratives are most exciting as they'll get the most use being node 1 stuff. And wanderers. Some of the other systems feel like adding more fiddly bookkeeping, or encounters adding length and difficulty to a lantern year, but its fantastic we can pick and choose what we want to keep or lose each campaign.

Got married, moved to a new house, and lost my gaming buddie to cancer in that time. Not sure when or if ill ever get back into it but still looking forward to cracking it open and seeing the new art/rules/components. I'm just now finding out about the 1.6 pack to convert all the core/1.5 stuff to the latest was released. Does that cover all the expacs as well? Lol sorry for the wall of text i feel like i have a lot of catching up to do.

Narrative minis look good. But i cant help but think of all the hours wasted magnetizing my core set. If poots doesn't release comparable kits i'll be sadly quite put off to the future of kdm despite having all of wave 4 pledged. Its why ive been putting off assembling my gamblers chest. Croc is node 1... but if they don't have an armor set like the core i dont know how to incorporate it and i certainly dont want to start butchering sprues to make them match. Sigh

i have to admit, i do miss the idea mix and match armour sets, they really appealed to me about the core game and first wave of expansions. i think the models’ scale has gotten so much bigger now that they would look tiny, but i’d still buy smaller scaled swappable kits!

Do you really need the core game for the GC campaign? Which components from the core game does the GC require that are not substitutable? Because I am kinda only interested in the GC because I like the monsters a lot more and it would be much cheaper. Dropping like 800+ just to play the GC is a bit too much for me.

ah, my understanding is that you need quite a lot of things from the core game-off the top of my head you need the board, all of the cards except some of the monsters’ cards (innovations, resources, gear, disorders, lots of others), two of the nemesis’ cards, the tokens… more or less everything really! if you’d like to avoid spending the hefty amount to get into the game, i’d recommend maybe waiting until Kingdom Death Simulator has the Gambler’s Chest to try it out for much cheaper! sorry i couldn’t bring you better news!
