well, the highest POSSIBLE damage in item asylum is actually infinite. there's a glitch with lute (i think it still exists), where you can give someone a buff, then respawn, and the buff stays. add that up with curse stacking, and there is a literally infinite amount of hypothetical damage ready to be dealt.

Fun fact: you have a defense stat. if it goes into negatives you take more damage. There is a kit called bullet hell enjoyer that gives you a lot less defense so if you get that just multiply it and boom, really big number
