4:28 You're lying. Exaggerating at the very least. 😂 I have a model Y and I use the brake pedal in a couple of circumstances: 1 when the battery is at 100 and I need to slow down. 2 when the battery is very cold and I need to slow down. And 3 when I need to slow down very fast! I can't believe non of those things has happened to you!!! Anyways.... Good video. Thanks for posting!

Never touch the brake? OK sure let's just say a handful of extremely rare circumstances. Most of the time I use FSD which as you know does everything for you. I always precondition my battery 100% of my drives so my battery is Never cold no matter how cold it is outside. Also I charge to 80% so I get full regen 99.9% of the time. Always try to precondition on the plug as much as possible as that reduces battery degradation as well! Thanks for watching! 😊

You shouldn't be charging to 100 unless you really really need to

@@nathansuss I only do for long trips.

@nathansuss I agree my car has been charged to 100% less than 5 times. So I would call that very rare. Also why my battery degradation is below 5% on my 2018 Tesla Long Range. Max range @ 100% is 301-304 Miles which is viewed from the Tessi App without actually having to charge the battery to 100%. It gives you a very accurate health reading after every 5KwH charge basically like a report card from the Tesla Battery Management System. Pretty awesome!!

@@arondueck reserved for long trips definitely saves the pack from unnecessary degradation.

Absolutely no need to use two jacks at once. Tesla came to my home for my tire rotation and used one jack. Frame is stiff enough to use one jacking point to life entire side of vehicle.

Let's talk about that. 1000's of either 18650 or 21700 batteries are soldered together. Let's say one of those solder points cracks under stress.the car weights over 4000lbs. Is it stiff? Yes. Does it cause unwanted flexing of the pack? Also yes. Google ford GM or dodge frame twist and flex test if you don't believe me for a source. Metal flexes more than you realize. Thanks for watching.

That’s because Tesla doesn’t care if your car breaks, it’s just more money in their pocket. Not like they are competing with 3rd party service centers.
@DrDemp11 ай бұрын
@JifferRiffic True, but that isn't just Tesla service. That may be their mobile service procedure as they haven't had any negative consequences from that directly and also even if 2 weeks later you start seeing your range go down a few miles from a few cells going offline in your pack is the average person going to notice? This video was just to bring awareness. I'm an Advanced Level Specialist Master Technician, and I can safely say some shady practices take place in Almost ALL shops and All Dealerships. The techs are paid flat rate in most dealer or shops here in the US. Which is based on how fast you can get the job done if your slow you are losing money which in this economy everyone needs every penny they can get.
