Hi! I am Norwegian but alas no Jew. Still, I strongly believe in God that I read about in the Torah (I have the Stone edition). I have been to Israel and visited Masada and Jerusalem. I am not member of any church or faith, but I have found my faith when in Israel. And I am proud to try to be a Noahide. My questian is if it will be wrong to put up a Mezuzah on my doorpost? To show everybody my joy for God, my sympatie for the Jewish people, and perhaps as a hope for Gods blessing in my home?

+Holly Hubert, my mother has a Jewish friend who gifted her with a Mezuzah and showed her how it attaches to the doorpost. He knew we are Christians and observe/celebrate Jewish holidays and traditions. I recently purchased one for my home also.

My dear I am a born again Christian. Just know that Jesus fulfilled the covenant and laws of God with his death and resurrection on the cross. He completed the law. Hence why we are Christians do not follow the law as it was fulfilled at the cross for salvation. I am putting some in my house with joy and love towards God. They have Christoozas and Messianic ones. As long as you understand your salvation, Galatians 3. You can get one.

The scroll is only placed in the case. It should be removed and inspected every number of years (some say 7) and inspected, to make sure no letters have been totally or partially erased. A Menorah is a 7 branched candelabra. We use for Chanukah, but in order to differentiate from the one that was in the Beit HaMikdash we use a different number of branches. For Chanukahwe use one with 8 branches corresponding to the 8 days of Chanukah. In many a synagogue you will see a 6 branched Menorah.

I am not Jewish, but I am a Christian with immense interest in the Hebraic roots of my religion. Would it be offensive or inappropriate for me to place one of these outside of my house, regarding it with the same meanings? Also, what if I had it in English as opposed to Hebrew, would that be bad or fine?

who and where and why do you feel you cannot live openly as you are in this world? of course there are places that people have to live in such a way but if you live in the United States, even in very bad ghettos, then Ill tell you that you have no reason to live in fear as you are. I know that's a brazen statement with the increase in attacks upon synagogues and hate crimes against Jews. but there is also an increase on hate crimes against muslims, gays, immigrants, blacks, etc. there is a belief among a very selective group of assholes that they can and do go out and be hostile to everyone who they feel threatens them. FUCK THEM! they will continue to get more aggressive if you me and everyone else shirk in fear from them. never be forced into doing something from fear of another and their action.

Must one be Jewish to put up a Mezuzah? Can a non Jew put up a Mezuzah and use Revelation 20 -3 as the inner scroll scripture? Interesting info I just came across; Deuteronomy 6 4 5 6 7 8 9 and Deuteronomy 11 13 to 21 both have 22 lines just like the Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. Does one make the Mezuzah an idol if one kisses the Mezuzah going out of the home and coming back home? Praise G - d Glory to G - d ... for me, a non Jew through Lord Jesus the Christ my saviour Amen Amen and Amen ... no harm intended Please provide your answer Thank you

The word Mezuzah is no where in the bible, This word belongs to the works of man not the works of the LORD
@pynchasbrener26434 жыл бұрын
It says in the Bible: And thou shalt write them upon the doorposts (MEZUZOT, plural of MEZUZAH) lof thy house, and on thy gates (Deuteronomy 6:9)
@sonsofseven99114 жыл бұрын
@@pynchasbrener2643 Yes that is not a doorpost its called a Mezuzah and it is separate from a doorpost, It hangs on a doorpost it says to write it on the doorpost, It does not say to write it on an object and hang it on a doorpost
@sonsofseven99114 жыл бұрын
@@pynchasbrener2643 Many things that were written have been altered by man to mean other things that were not wrtten. Do not be deceived , Same as (Israel) see if you can understand this (Israel) is not a spot on a map. (Israel) Is a people and (Israel) will be a nation again, (Israel) is a people scattered all over the earth soon (Israel) will be risen up by the LORD and all the world will know them. The world will be surprised to see who the true (Israel) is, All the people claiming to be (Israel ) is not truth (Israel). Jesus is the truth it is written Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. The Rabbis calling themselves Jews are an oxy-moron, Because the Rabbis believe the Torah and the Torah is only based on the first 5 books of the Bible and the word Jew was not spoken or even heard of or written until Esther 2:5 and Ester was written thousands of years after the first 5 books of the bible.

Ah. I didn't think of fading letters. I have had some old newspaper clippings that I had to toss when the letters became faded. Wow. I didn't know there was also a 6 branched Menorah. The Jewish community has gone through HORRIBLE times, but I personally think there is a LOT of interesting things to learn from them. THANK you SO much for imparting some information. Some day, I would like to learn Hebrew. {I am currently learning ASL and Algebra.}

Is the scroll permanently in the Mezuzah, or can it be removed, re-read, & replaced? What is the difference between a Menorah (I THINK that's what I see behind you at 04:24) and a Channukiah?
@yrm15943 жыл бұрын
The Menorah had 7 arms, it was very big and was lit inside the Jewish template. The Channukiah has 9 arms and we light it on Hanukkah. What you see behind him is a Channukiah
