Discipline - drive killing penalties are the most obvious weakness.

Not getting the ball out on time or accurately on that play to the TE is an example of what is holding the team back. Late and inaccurate throws + the penalties need to be improved upon to reach the playoffs. That said, I’m really thankful for this fun team!

@doughnut00767 күн бұрын
Right now the medium to deep passing game is severly lacking. I am not sure that Cook has hit a pass further than 15 yards down the field. Penalities are also a worry. I think both can and will be fixed but right now those are the weaknesses.
@Supportingtruth82587 күн бұрын
In the last two games, Boston college has been very good at stopping the run. In mizzou's last two games, they've only scored one passing touchdown... (One). If that trend continues, Missouri could be in big trouble.
@RaymondJohnsonRJ7 күн бұрын
Cook's passing concerns me. He does know when to run to make up for being an average passer. The offense has been average so far. If they score in the upper thirties and keep BC below 20 I would call that a success. Anything else keeps them below Tennessee and Old Miss.
@jimmyrussell88347 күн бұрын
I have a suspicion that you are in possession of more examples of missed open receivers, but you are taking it easy on our QB...
@TTB81267 күн бұрын
You want to put Pyne in? Not me. Cook has not been real sharp so far but his #1 WR has barely played and the starting TE has been mostly out too.
@ralphjenkins63927 күн бұрын
Not many weaknesses thus far but if I had to pick anything it would be taking too many penalties. Boston College is a good team but if Mizzou wants to get the National recognition they deserve, they need to blow Boston College out at home. If they do that, they'll be rank fourth or third next week.
@gaming4veteranz6547 күн бұрын
Just need to cover and they’ll do that. Not really gonna move up any higher unless a top 5 loses or just looks god awful from here on out.

@@gaming4veteranz654 Yeah good points not a lot of room to maneuver in the top six. But Alabama plays at Wisconsin they'll move ahead of them if they lose
@gaming4veteranz6547 күн бұрын
@@ralphjenkins6392 Alabamas not losing to Wisconsin but they play Georgia the following week. Once we beat bc and vandy, we’ll be in the top 5. Don’t really matter tho because we got to play bama anyway later on so that’ll decide who gets ranked higher in the end. As long as we go 10-2 we’ll be in top 12 playoff no doubt

I honestly don't know WTF @cblack3737 and @mrwill1779 are watching. Cook has been good. Both teams they've played have been playing 2 deep safeties to prevent against bombs to Luther and Marquise. Cook has taken what the defense gives him. He's passed for TDs, he's ran for TDs. Only one interception. And the running game looks really good. Both Noel and Carroll have picked up where Schrader left off. We should know by now that Drink plays it close to the vest against inferior competition. I expect to see a much more wide open offense against Boston College.
@treykaiser87044 күн бұрын
This is true. But he did miss some over the top throws. Not going to knock him for it. Rather that than a INT. It’s hard to tell with these opponents. Kirby Moore doesn’t want to give our main competitors the advantage with his complex plays. So I agree with you but he could be better is all he’s saying. Why butter him up when his main motive is to prove people wrong. Just look at last season. If anything I feel like he wants the doubters

Master of the obvious- correct penalties. Gives you more control in the game. Is our O-Line giving BCook enough time? I like BCook - I think he was trying too hard and just needs to get out of his own head a bit. He plays best when he just executes and not “trying” to create a huge play. Love Mizzou! Let’s go Tigers!!!

In your video he had 3 guys wide open! I don't know how you or Brady missed him, but #1 on the left side is open almost immediately across the middle too! Cook does a 360 degree turn immediately, and had he just dropped back, #1 over the middle was WIDE OPEN! The only man on him was the referee!

Mizzou is 10th in passing yards in the SEC... If we want to win any kind of championship game, that could be a problem.
@Jason73807 күн бұрын
Play calling and discipline. I'm sure that they have been trying to keep it vanilla but they have been very predictable and have not done a good job calling plays to scheme guys open and get people involved. Discipline is pretty self explanatory. They have won convincingly but they have stalled themselves too many times so far.
@ChaoticDestiny17 күн бұрын
I would say a weakness is how often Burden is hurt or now sick. If he keeps missing games like he has the past 2 years...he is not going to remain a top tier receiver. Theo is going to jump ahead of him when it comes to draft day. I know he is still a really good receiver but come on.
