Hi! My child was diagnosed with this. Is the carsickness a necessary component? My child specifically found vestibular input comforting.

Nope! Every child is different! If your child doesn't get carsick, but is showing other signs of the Moro Reflex, it is just their unique sensory system!

Hello, my first child never let me put him down, he literally always had to sleep with me at night, this is how things were until he was 2 1/2 and weaning him away from me was incredibly hard but i was pregnant at that point so needed to get him used to sleeping alone. Does this sound like a morro reflex issue? He also really struggled in his swim class even though he was very interested in the water but never wants to float on his back, his instructor was never able to get him comfortable enough to do this.

It definitely could be related to the moro reflex!
