No problem. Even now I am painting for a small competition and my Bold Pyrrole Red from PRO ACRYL exploded. Do I have it on video. No. Does it happen? More often than anybody would think. I spoiled more models than I painted correctly before I even started doing it more or less correct. It’s a normal stage of learning.

That seems such an obvious answer that I didn’t even think about it. Cheers to you for mentioning that!!!

Glad you're using old good marines minies for this video! For those who crossed the Rubicon of asholarization are not the Firstborn and can not be trusted! I'll surely try this techniques on my Dark Angels army. Thanks a lot, man!

Thank you for the comment and support!!! Getting back to the firstborn thing. I have more or less 150+ models in different states ready for painting or in sprue for my firtborn Crimson Fists army. Resin, metal, plastic… you name it, I have it. Also I have 70-80 plastic models for my Night Lord army. Same story here. I am not a big fan of Primaris. Love the fact that they are much easier to paint but they lack the individuality and coolness for me. This video was a test because in 2025 I want to make a bulk paint job for 50 tactical marines and there will be a video on it.

Back in the late 90's/early oughts, I think the "battle ready" standard was 3 colors minimum painted on the mini, no parts of it that were left unpainted.

I do wonder, with Crimson Fists being so old, design wise (being on the cover of Rogue Trader) that they ended up not being a founding legion. They have had so many cool art pieces made for them in the earlier days.

What I heard was that as you mentioned they were the poster boys at the very beginning but GW thought that they need (and this is a paraphrase) something that would be more visible on any landscape (ultramrines are in their opinion looking good on all types of terrain in photos) and customer friendly to paint. Ultramarine blue is supposedly one of the easiest paints to use. I love my Crimson boys. It is a shame they didn’t get more love.

@@FixusMiniatures Hmmm. That makes sense, but still, its not like Imperial Fists are a "poster boy", but they became the founding legion for the crimson fists, and not the other way around. Ultramarines, especially the older vibrant ones before "grimdark" because a thing, certainly do stand out.

Just to make something clear. I don't know why but I forgot the Table Top definition in the video, or I lost it somehow in the editing process. The last few weeks were not my time 😀 Here is the definition I was going with. "The idea is you get the miniatures to look good without necessarily being technically well painted. The miniatures may have mistakes, messy shading, they might be in only a few colours and have sparse highlighting. But they look good enough." Sorry once again for that. Enjoy the video!!! leave a comment!!!

Your first two models look fine for table top / game play. Regarding the third model--you are way to hard on yourself. You had a good start just made an error. It happens. Remember, its just paint. On an open area like that lick your finger and quickly remove the paint while its still wet, or use a second clean wet brush to soak up the paint quickly. Third option, just a thinned glaze coat of the original color would cover it up quickly and easily. If all else fails just respray that area, touch up what needs touched up and move on. Odds are no one would notice if you didnt tell them. Lastly, the decals... Hate those little buggers too. They never seem to work well for me and so I almost never use them. Something I need to work on I guess. Keep up the good work, like these videos. Its nice to see that not everyone on the internet is a 'perfect' painter. The learning process is helpful as it reminds me of some things I have forgotten as well.

Thanks a lot for this comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I am afraid a bit of trying what you mentioned to take the still wet mistake off to not damage any paint under. On the other thing you wrote I really don’t understand why people don’t show their mistakes. I don’t believe they don’t do them from time to time. It would be really cool to see a few videos on what to do if I did this or that. Kind of a “covering mistakes” videos series. Probably a lot of people could benefit from them. Decals… no comment there 🤣🤣🤣 That is why I bought a lot of Crimson Fists firstborn shoulder pads and backpacks with the chapter emblem on them. I will not have to use decals. Take care friend and thanks again for the comment. I really like talking to people like you and will try to answer all of the comments. Cheers

Forget the shoulderpad color problem: Your real issue is the decals. Microsol and Microset, so they actually look curved on the pauldron, instead of all the ugly folds that come from applying a large decal on a curved surface. Because as it is, I think your leftmost shoulder pads look better than the other two. Until you have that right, forget about the gradients: Just practice setting decals on its own, not even attached to the miniature: It's not as if you cannot glue them on top of the arms later anyway. After that is dealt with, learn to stipple a rough gradient in. It'll not look like it was airbrushed, but it'll give you the light volumes you need, and it's easier to fix.

I am going to be honest. Normally I respond to a comment on the spot but your thoughts added to me sleeping 3 hours yesterday and a boring corporate clerk job had me muster all my cognitive abilities to understand what you meant and I got it. This is a wonderful tip. I really really appreciate it. Those types of feedback are one of the reasons I opened and run this channel. Having such a discussion and sharing your experience and knowledge is wonderful and I encourage to do it more often. You will see me fail and learn at the same time. Coupled with some good hint this can turn out to be a great experience for us all. Cheers friend. Hope to hear from you more often!!!

I really appreciate your efforts! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
