I picked Japan, but totally agree Michael. It's sad our home country has been the face of a lot of these wokeism ideals that are making everyone miserable. We used to fund TV shows that would get shown in the USA, but the Canadian broadcasts were uncensored! How far we have slipped 😥

You may be correct from a macro vantage point but when you are having to deal with it every day it is very painful and destructive at a human level. When the virus is trying to capture and use the resources of an organisation that you have worked hard to build it is hard to just walk away. Fighting can result in job loss or worse. The sheer waste of human potential is tragic.

I agree with you. People are focusing soooo much on things that don't affect 99% of society (100 genders for example) while not raising voices for things that actually DO matter. Eventually all good intentioned and smart people will get tired of this and will put effort in what really matters. And it's not like we have lack of social issues today. I think this whole thing is in its final stage, about to burn out very soon. And then we will need to put all of our attention towards some very important topics.

There are some jurisdictions that are providing certain protections for children up to and beyond facilitating "gender affirming" care for children without parental consent, and actively concealing the nature of that treatment from parents and guardians. I'd like to hear more about what different policies are in different places, I know a lot of folks in the US and Canada are taking a hard look at that in any expat options they're considering. I don't think this phenomenon really has legs anywhere outside the anglophone west, but you begin to see it seeping into Scandinavia and central Europe now, very concerningly. It plays a definite factor in people's location strategy.
