I’d put orb in S tier because it’s a string weapon with kill confirms, and has no deadzones, I’d put boots in S as well, because it has the fastest grounded moves (frame 2), and has easy confirms when Opp has no dodge, I’d move Hammer to C because the weapon has los of deadzines and terrible neutral, and you can make a Case for Katars, bow, spear being A tier

I mostly agree with this. I wouldve put spear and bow a little higher since ive seen some crazy combos with them and i feel theyre easy to learn. I would put blasters a little further down because of how, idk, rigid your range is. You can only shoot to the side for any light blasters attack, and can only shoot strictly up, down, or to the side in the air light. I also dislike the heavy up air blasters attack. I feel like it almost never hits and is really easy to get out of. As someone who mains reno and petra, youre absolutely right about the orb not being a very good weapon. There are a few combos you can do on land, but off-stage/in the air orb is pretty bad lol.

Greatsword is definitely S tier if you can play it correctly. It has the highest skill ceiling of every weapon but it can deal with almost everything if a good player plays GS. Orb is also S tier atm since it has been consistenly buffed or untouched last few patches and it's basically a better version of sword rn. Katars are busted as well and should be S imo it's really easy to react to dodges and is good at building damage. I can go on but I basically do not agree with this tierlist at all except for scythe, axe and sword.

Better list: S tier: Axe, Lance, Bow A tier: Scythe, Battle Boots, Sword, Hammer, Gauntlets B: Orb, Katars C - Greatsword, Spear D - Cannon, Blasters Lance - is busted allowing for getting back to stage easily, as well as stage control with it's knockback and area. Bow - is too simple to use and allows for quick damage accessibility as well as covering area quickly. Great ground pound too. Axe - hits too hard, and swings like a light weapon, great edge guarding and pairs well with any other weapon, great punishes. Scythe - has a huge skill ceiling, allows for amazing edge guarding and can 0 to death you easily, loads of active inputs allowing for versatility. Sword - is also extremely easy to use and is super light. Great combos and great side air. Pairs well with signs that hit above you or spike, due to down neutral. Hammer - great versatility, arguably best edge guard weapon other than scythe, great knockback and area coverage. Battle Boots - could be higher, amazing combos, high damage combos and can excellent punishes. Gauntlets - also debatably higher, some of the best combos in the game and great ground pound, good edge guarding and neutral air Is busted. Orb - feels lackluster, high damage and good combos, jack of all trades, master of none. Katars - worse version of gauntlets, has nice punishes, but not too many combos, pretty easy to read most of time, fastest ground pound. Greatsword - not worth the time to learn for what your getting, most of the combos end up having the same result other than inf combos. High damage, slow. Spear - same combos, relies on sigs, recovery and side air to kill. Cannon - combos are great, but bad punishes, good for getting back to stage tho. Bad damage. Blasters - slow, okay area coverage, bad damage, repetitive, and horrible combos.

First of all, I main Koji and I'm plat. Bow and Sword are funny and easy weapons but not for current situation. And i also found out that perhaps Koji is the hardest Bow legend because of his hitboxes on sigs. So in current situation i struggle a lot to KO people with Axe, Lance and Scythe sometimes. Axe and Lance need only Sair to KO. Other buttons are totally useless. These weapons are made for quick and easy Elo climbing, not for skill improvement. (Yeah scythe is hard but a lot of stupid players KO me using only Dair and Nair) That's why your tierlist is true from the point of winning. But for players who want to improve, your tierlist should be reversed and Lance must be E tier.

the man isnt way off the actual tier list I believe, the only objections and defenses I see in the comments are how sigs are overpowered for almost all these weapons in lower tiers but come on, it only takes a bit of game sense to dodge those as you reach plat nd above I'd maybe put the bow higher for its range and slight advantage when in higher fps situations

S: sword, axe, katars, gauntlets, battle boots(they mad annoying but it is a good weapon) A: Hammer, blasters, greatsword, spear, cannon B: Scythe(no true combos but very good once you master it) lance(almost irrelevant if your opponent stays above or below you) orb (same situation as scythe but without the true combos) To be honest I would have put all the B tiers in A, but i felt there was a difference.
