Great video! Isaiah 51 is a great passage for understanding the old heavens and earth.

_The end Time_ is not the end of physical world... it is the end of _worldly_ thinking in our mind...
@SiftingPerspective16 күн бұрын
According to scripture, its the end of the old covenant age. Where do you get the idea it refers to the end of worldly thinking of our minds?
@telorceploksambelkecap16 күн бұрын
@@SiftingPerspective From one of the church denomination... The church also teach that heaven and hell are not physical, they are states of mind... A similar concept with Buddhism... and to me it is interesting...

@@telorceploksambelkecap I base my beliefs off God and he speaks through his Word (Bible). If some church or person does not directly get their view from the Bible then its not something I put any weight behind. God is the only source of truth
@telorceploksambelkecap16 күн бұрын
@@SiftingPerspective Of course the Church got it from the Bible... and I agree more with their interpretation, because it makes the book of Revelation eternally valid and theologically more important, rather than talks only about the end of the old covenant age.

If you're going to say the Bible has a "main point", it's that we should love God and our neighbor. It's co-incident with salvation, but salvation isn't the point.
@SiftingPerspective16 күн бұрын
The story of the Bible does not start or end with "love God and Love neighbor". It starts with relationship lost and ends with relationship restored. that is redemption. that is the consistent theme. Any good story has that same type of logical methodology to their story telling where it starts with an issue and resolves it by the end. to say the main point is not about that resolution but of some sub-point is to miss the intent of the author

I’m curious what your view of heaven is. Is there a spiritual existence after death? What are your thoughts on the resurrection?
@SiftingPerspective14 күн бұрын
Heaven is the presence of God. when we die, we go to heaven and get to be with Jesus forever. And yes, it is a spiritual state, just like God is spirit and we worship him in spirit and in truth. Resurrection was Old Testament saints leaving Sheol (grave) and going to heaven in 70AD and now whenever a believer believes, they are "resurrected" and will also go directly to heaven when they die. every Christian says we are resurrected spiritually upon salvation (idk about catholics). I have many videos on this id encourage you to check out. hope that quickly answers your question. God Bless!

Because Jesus Christ has not yet returned visibly and in glory (e.g. Revelation 1:7), the question makes no sense. Jesus wants us to await the coming day in the right attitudes (be ready; serve; like the wise virgins etc.) and go to meet Him. What does preterism do to those who have succumbed to this error?
@SiftingPerspective16 күн бұрын
If it were an error im sure it would make you an atheist. Thankfully it is the truth of God's Word and I know that myself/family and all the preterists i know have only grown in our love for God and his Word as well as more emboldened to be involved and have an optimistic view of the future I have many videos on time statements and the second coming that id encourage you to check out! Don Preston, Zach Davis, Micheal Sullivan and many more also have many videos id recommend if youre interested in challenging your and my beliefs against scripture.

@SiftingPerspective Thank you for answering. After 44 years with Jesus I will not become an atheist. I am so happy to be saved through Christ's blood and to live in the hope of the glory to come that I will never fall in atheism because of God's grace. Whether my view is right or wrong I can see no reason for it. I am partial preterist believing that most prophecies of Jesus became fulfilled in 70 a.D.. I studied Flavius Josephus for myself. Also other historical books. The Lord own words of His coming in glory were in my opinion not fulfilled. The fall of Jerusalem was a day of the Lord for Israel and finished Old Covenant worship forever. But for the nations to whom the gospel had yet to be preached after 70 a. D. until today will be the coming Day of the Lord and the visible coming of Christ in glory at the end of this age. What happened to the Jews 70 a.D. will happen all nations that rejected the gospel as the Jews did. Please forgive my mistakes in english language. Greetings from Germany

@@SiftingPerspective Actually, I've got a small question about the initial comment (lutheran here), and you seem to be a biblical scholar, could you answer this real quick? How would we know about Jesus' return? Would all willing to serve just, know? Or would he come down from the sky? I've always wanted to know what to expect when he returns, and I don't want to fall for any false prophets, thank you for your time.

I have a few videos on this. One is about the "coming on the clouds". in short, that is common Old Testament symbolic apocalyptic language used to describe God judging a nation. Some would say the symbolism refers to the dust clouds that would be kicked up by approaching armies, which I can agree with that that makes sense. But bottom line is that all the NT End Times language is actually found in the Old Testament and for the Jews of that day, they would have known the context of the OT and understood the references. Make sure to check out my videos as they can go into more detail and show the scripture as well!

Matthew 13:11-15. Luke 8:10-13. People conflate The Kingdom of Heaven and The Kingdom of God. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ may enter The Kingdom of Heaven. But you must be a Disciple of Jesus Christ to enter The Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2.
@SiftingPerspective13 күн бұрын
There are not 2 Kingdoms. It is 1 singular Kingdom of God/Heaven. They are always the same thing in Scripture. Where did you get the idea that they are different? The verses you quoted are not saying there is a difference
