Wearing the traditional attire of any cultural of another race at the particular event does not imply that Muslim is murtad. It is only an event we participate.Example, if u go to a dressed up party, the attendee is dressing to the occasion. To me it is no issue here . Only dress up for the occasion. Nothing to do with religion practice. Malaysians pls do not be so sensitive to take offence on the dressing. We must enjoy going to the event dressed in the attire for the occasion. Pls do mot play on religious sensitivity.

Nizar is obviously ignorant about Chinese history. Nizar was wearing the Qing Dynasty emperor costume. It was the Kuo Min Tang party that overthrew the last dynasty. Majority of Malaysian Chinese ancestors came to Malaya and Borneo during these times because of famine caused by the Qing Dynasty. Some Chinese in Malaya during that time even donated money for the revolution to overthrew the Qing Dynasty. Wearing the Qing Dynasty Emperor costume in this context could come across as mocking Malaysian Chinese. However, as Nizar is a Malay will most likely be forgiven for his ignorance.
