Testimonies of how we’ve experienced God can be powerful tools for encouraging others and pointing them to Christ, but they must always remain subordinate to Scripture. So, how should we use our testimonies responsibly? In this episode, we'll explore the role of personal testimony in the Christian faith.
We'll examine the balance between sharing our personal experiences with God and ensuring they don’t become prescriptive or authoritative. Testimonies should inspire and build up others, but they should not be turned into practices or doctrines. We’ll discuss how to keep our testimonies humble, using them to edify rather than establish a "new normal" for the Christian life.
Join us as we better understand the biblical role of testimony and learn how to use our personal stories to encourage without replacing or overshadowing the truth of Scripture.

I love this so much and have shared this on another post I think. Miller came to our church in Cincinnati back in Jan of 2023. The second day Miller was sharing about how a woman came up in another conference and had flat feet and got prayer and got healed. As he said that I felt what was like electricity go from my feet up. I was asking the Holy Spirit are You healing me right now. My feet felt weird as I went to the bathroom. I have had low arches for almost 30 years up to that point wearing orthotics. I left that night with them in my hand as he gave me arches and still have them to this day. I even showed Milker at the end and he was like dude you have arches. Awesome part I shared with so many people that night but I first shared with my kids and my teenage nieces and nephews. I also prayed over someone who have flat feet (they didn’t get healed but I believe He can). God is sooo good!

Awesome! 🤩 Did you go bad to your pediatrist to verify that your arches were healed?

It’s interesting some people call testimonies charismatic. Do they really believe the Bible?

Many testimonies are charismatic. They make big claims but provide no proof.

It's been a long time since I've been in a church that had a regular testimony time. It is important that we give testimony to the works of God in our life. It is equally important that people can give testimony to the things they need prayer for, or are trusting God for. I'm trying to get testimony time set as a regular thing in our gathering. Tradition and programming is very hard to break.

I think a lot of people tend to embellish their testimony.

I think y’all missed the point with the blind man “testimony”. The whole reason he went to the Pharisees was to prove his healing. The problem with much of Charismania is that they have “testimonies” but provide no proof. The resurrection had 500 witnesses, Jesus let Thomas touch his hands and side. When someone says they won’t believe without proof let’s be more like Jesus and provide it.
