Some things that would make this A LOT more rare dropping hallowed biome key (1/2.5) dropping from a zombie (slimed zombies can drop slime staff with same odds as a regular slime) (1/10k), slimed zombie is of the largest size (1/22) also getting a zombie arm (1/250) also getting a shackle (1/50) also getting a spiffo plush (1/1.5k) also getting bloody machette (1/2500) also getting mechanical worm (1/2500) getting ruthless on slime staff (1/40) getting warding on shackle (1/20ish) getting legendary on zombie arm (1/40) getting demonic on bloody machette (1/40) instead of getting a crit with 4% crit chance, getting not a crit with 99% crit chance (1/100) all you would loose out on is 13 copper ore odds

A lot of this is worsened by luck, so that's probably a lot too

here's what i would do to improve that - cram the maximum amount of slimed zombies into a tiny box, kill all of them on the same frame, and have every single one of those zombies drop the aforementioned items, on the same frame as numerous other random events.

Some suggestions include Biome Keys. Having 5 biome keys drop at once is a 1 in 97.6 quintillion chance. Adding that to this totals to a chance of 1 in tredecillions (if it is possible).

here's the rarest thing we can get with slimes, so far from what i think? to have a windy day, and have a pinky on a balloon drop a slime staff, 2 gel, 50 pink gel, a paper airplane, all of the kite types, copper ore, all biome keys, and have a storm, sandstorm, and blizzard start at the same tick, then have it turn into a bloodmoon on the same tick, with a natural boss spawn and a meteorite, and then a solar eclipse when it turns daytime. the only downside is probably the fact that a slime staff is more common from pinky

The absolute most simplest way you can make this even more absurd is having 200 slimes and hitting them with a weapon with 99% crit chance. The chance that all slimes die to a non crit attack is 1/100^200, winch is so unfathomably rare, that if you represent it with a floating point number it will be equal to zero.

I think I have the single rarest thing in the game: Getting 11 platinum coins from 1 silt in a normal Extractinator. There is a 0.0073% chance of getting platinum coins from a block of silt in an Extractinator. That is a 1 in 13,698.63014 chance, assuming my math is correct. Roughly a 1 in 14,000 chance. Assuming the probability of getting each number of coins is the same, getting the 1/11 chance of 11 platinum would be roughly a 1 in 150,685 chance. Getting 11 platinum coins from two consecutive silt blocks is already a 1 in 2.27059486 x 10^10. Getting 3 consecutively would be in the 3.4x10^15 range Getting 15 consecutively would be in the range of 4.6886 x 10^77 You could even still add on the chance of other events happening on the tick you get the platinum coins for ridiculously low chances.

The rarest things that have ever happened to me in Terraria have all been in the same playthrough. The first two bone serpents I killed in the playthrough both dropped a kite. I killed a unicorn, and it dropped both the unicorn on a stick and the blessed apple simultaneously I killed a moss hornet, and it dropped both a bezoar and a tattered bee wing. These could have been separate though, as there were a good few enemies in the area unlike the first two occurrences I mentioned. These were all in Expert, so the chances were somewhat higher than they would've been in Normal, but the fact that it all happened just feels fake. I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for thinking I'm lying in this comment.

we also can't forget the chance that a boss/event/npc spawns on that tick. Also if we happen to use a pickaxe to kill the slime on the exact tick that the pickaxe breaks a block, which drops a dirtiest dirt block. The chance skyrockets.

you could go much further: dropping all 6 Biome keys (1/2500 each) dropping a mech spawn or all 3 if they stack (1/2500 each) getting the broken reforge on the slime staff (3/4 chance of modifier, ~1/37 of it being chosen, 1/3 chance of it not being voided by the "mercy" mechanic. 1/148 overall) this puts the total at about 1 in 8.6x10^61 or 86 octodecillion. And it could probably still get higher.

While it's very unlikely to happen,something more unlikely is for a a single pirate to drop all possible golden furniture +the lucky coin+the coin gun,and combining that with the bad luck mechanic you mentioned it's already extremely low, but we can make it rarer by the chance of the coin gun being unreal and the hits it took to kill the pirate where all crits....witch I thing is so rare that numbers can't describe 😂

One thing you could also take into account is seeing that a solar eclipse has a 5% chance to spawn on the tick when dawn starts, and with the fact that a solar eclipse can only spawn naturally after at least 1 mech bosses has been defeated, so if you kill a mech boss the tick before or tick of the first tick of dawn and it spawns a solar eclipse while it starts raining and sandstorming on the same tick would make it much bigger odds. there is probably a reason this wouldnt work but im not a statistics kinda guy so idk.

I had a slime staff on my latest world, I never used it and it’s probably just sitting in a chest somewhere on my world. I had no idea it was so rare

Just a note: you can basically stack those events. Just consider luck = 0, slime staff. Its 1/10000 or 10^(-5) now if we make it happen twice in a row its 10^(-10). If we make it happen x times in a row its 10^(-5x). As x go to infinity, we get basically 0% chance. Its so small, that no matter what you wont get it. We, obviously, cant consider infinite slimes, so just take a very huge x. A thousand? A million? Million of millions? Just add one and you have a new wr. Hooray🎉
